Sidenote for mods, I wouldn't mind seeing a thread where the only post are videos. Going in order from Hoke's press conference to the end of the spring.

Thank the lord Lewan stayed
Kristian Mateus? Not familiar with him.
He went to high school not too far from where I am at Forest Hills Central in Grand Rapids; Lewan made note of him when I talked to him at Media Day as a smart player who gave him more pointers than anyone in practice.
Man Joey Burzynski is small at only 6'1" compared to the other giants. Think Kalis or Bryant will win that G spot.
Maybe, but Burzynski was the first sub last year. And the coaches seem to like him a lot. Maybe Kalis or Bryant wins a G position and Burzynski ends up at OC.
I'd be a lot more confident with Kalis ahead of Burzynski.
You can't count Burzynski because he was a walk-on. He was the first olineman off the bench last year if anyone had to miss time. This position group has a ton of success stories of unrate/under-rated kids all across the country. With that said, a part of me would feel better if 4/5 star Kalis, 4 star Bosch, 3/4 star Bars, or any other of the highly touted kids could beat him out. Best man wins though.
Also, Braden is running with the 1's. He was a 3* across the board, the lowest rated oline recruit from the last 2 years.
More confident?? The guy was a former 5* recruit, I'm going to start crying if he can't beat out a walk-on as a redshirt freshman.
Agreed. Kalis was supposed to be college ready coming out of high school, too. I'd be concerned if Burzynski was our best bet at OG.
I am very confident he will. Burzynski knows the offense better right now. When fall roles around Kalis will be starting. It's only the second practice without any pads on.
I wouldn't even worry about that now. If we're halfway through fall camp and it hasn't been decided, then you can worry. We hears a lot of positives about Kali's last year. Also Bryant wasn't with the two's either. So maybe he's never going to see the field or they were holding him back from some drills while still recovering from injury.
That was never true. Kalis was not ready to play last year, which is why he redshirted. He still needs a lot of work on technique and footwork, especially in pass protection. Erik Magnuson still needs to get bigger and stronger and is another year away from contributing.
Right now, Kyle Bosch as a true freshman is far ahead of where Kalis, Magnuson, Braden & Bars were as incoming freshmen last June.
We've just heard a lot of hype about Kalis and how he could be the next Steve Hutchinson, so I'm hoping he locks up the starting job by fall.
All I can say is: thank the good lord above that Taylor Lewan came back for one more year.
Bryant is still working his way back to 100%. He's doing some stuff.

Gotta love this "new age" haha. Now if a redshirt freshman isn't starting on the OL, it's a failure. Lol.
That's one clip, two plays showing Kalis in the second group. Guys subs in and out all the time, who knows what is going on. There are some strong opinions being made in this thread based on a 10 sec video clip.
I get a good chuckle out of it. Michael Schofield was a four star recruit but was nowhere near ready to see the field until his redshirt sophomore season in 2011 and even then he wasn't a starter coming out of camp in August. Many offensive linemen aren't ready to play until their third year on campus.
I'm not basing this on anything whatsoever, but I think Kalis will get the nod over Burzynski by the time season rolls around.
Also, speculating on the state of our team from each of these 2 minute practice videos is laughable. We will learn nothing through these videos. Just watch Schembechler in action and enjoy.
Yep. These "lineups" don't tell the whole story, at all. If we are halfway through fall practice, and the OL still looks like this and whatnot, then I could understand a couple questions. Long ways out still.
So now we're freaking out if a RS Frosh isn't running with the 1's in the first week of spring practice?
Lets talk about whats really important guys .. why are these videos getting shorter and shorter ?!!??!?
Wisconsin wanted Braden bad, that's all I need to know. He will be good.
