I thought I would make a separate thread for the spring game. I am attending with my wife and since her bday is the 16, I think we will just party and stay the night.
So here's what I need from everyone:
1. Ideas about what to do.
2. Where to go
3. Where to stay
Also, I'm assuming those of us who are there will meet up early. Tailgate or bar? Lets start some discussion and try to iron out a few details.
1. You've gotta go to the bars. Charlies, Rick's, Blue Lep, etc.
2. Go to the Spring Game.
3. Stay at a hotel.
She wants to shop too.
Also, steakhouse or other dinner options?
Also, are you guys going to be up to party?
Shopping can be done at Briarwood and State St.
For a birthday dinner, you have a ton of good options. Main Street places like Palio's and Gratzi's are delicious. Chophouse is fancy as hell but expensive as hell. Sava's is cheaper and still delicious. Zingerman's is a classic AA place, same as Blimpy Burger. Depends on what she likes.
And party with your wife? Hell yeah
What date/time is it again?

Lol well she won't be in any kind of " shape" being a month removed from having a baby. But she can party!
Your kids coming or are they having a sitter?
April 13th I believe. Not sure of the time.
ANN ARBOR -- The 2013 Mott Spring Game presented by PNC Bank in partnership with Michigan Athletics will be held at Michigan Stadium on Saturday, April 13. The Spring Game is free to the public, and Team 134 is set to take the field at approximately 12:30 p.m. EDT.
The gates to the Big House will open at 10 a.m., as events will surround the football team's final spring practice. The fifth annual alumni flag football game is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., while Michigan's men's lacrosse team will face Ohio State, set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
The football scrimmage will be streamed live on BTN2Go beginning at 1 p.m. ET and air on delay at 9 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.
Meanwhile, Michigan Football and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital have teamed up once again. Since 2010, the Spring Game has raised nearly $1 million for the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital.
Fans can make a donation of choice to the Mott Children's Hospital upon entering the gates of Michigan Stadium. Donations are accepted at any level but fans will receive giveaways for donating at the following levels, while supplies last:
$5 -- An authentic Spring Game jersey patch identical to those worn by the players during the 2013 Spring Game
$10 -- Spring Game cinch backpack
$20 -- Mott stadium bench seat cushion, approved for regular-season use
$250 -- Four (4) passes to a preseason football practice (tentatively scheduled for Aug. 24)
$500 -- Brady Hoke autographed football AND four (4) passes to a preseason football practice (tentatively scheduled for Aug. 24)

Let me know the time and dates and I'll gladly tip back Coronas from SC with everyone in mind....
I'd skip the shopping depending what type of shops she's looking for. You guys live ~5 miles from Somerset which is about 1000x better than Briarwood, so that would just be a waste of time. Main Street has some other types of shops that would be worth walking around, but if you're doing that you should make it a pub/shop crawl. Stop at a local brewery like Grizzly Peak, then go to a few shops, then stop at Arbor Brewing, then a few shops, then Jolly Pumpkin, then a few shops, etc.
Charlies and Brown Jug would be solid places on campus to go, but unless your name is Braylon Edwards, I think going to Ricks when you're > 30 is a bit creepy.
Dinner options totally depend on the cuisine you're looking for, and how much you're willing to spend. Gandy Dancer is a classic, dressier, place with a nice atmosphere that's just off campus. Chop House is a great, expensive, steakhouse on Main Street, then there are tons of other places depending what you want. Whatever morning you're there after the overnight stay, hit Cafe Zola for breakfast before heading back. A bit pricey, but chicks seem to dig it and you'll end the trip on a high note for sure.
Can you get one of the gifts mailed to you if you donate? I live in missoula,mt and only come back home to michigan every thanksgiving thank god for direct tv..i dont miss anything..
Go blue.....beat ohio.....
Got to eat at Blimpy Burger while you're there. That's the only thing I can say definitely do lol
I will most likely be going to the game, and this guy likes to party
Ok, we can all meet up before or after the game, for whoever is interested
Sounds good man
I fly into Detroit at 5 that Saturday. I could meet you guys obviously after the game somewhere?
I just skimmed the OP at first and read it as "I'm attending with my wife and since it's her 16th birthday..." and I was all like .
I have to work, but take some pics and post to this thread....whoever blacks out first wins
