Do you guys realize how much OSU and UM are going to dominate the B10 for years to come?
I would tend to agree with this. Although if Wisconsin can ever find a QB, they'll still be relevant.
And I agree. Nebraska and PSU are the biggest threats to our respective divisions, imo, but we should still pretty much meet in the B1GCC almost every year.
After seeing the performance Nebraska put up tonight, I can't believe we missed out on the conference championship. If Denard gets injured in literally any other game, we'd have been playing tonight.
This is a joke right? I'm excited that Michigan and OSU are recruiting well again which should lead to there ascension... it's good for the conference.
Complete joke if you think they will dominate the league.
I have to agree. You have to give to Bill and what he did for PSU. I am very excited to see where we go with Urban and Hoke at the reins.
I have to say I am proud to be 12-0 and part of the OSU and UM rivalry! Also I want to say for the first time in a long time I was happy to sit with a few UM fans at the game in Columbus this year, who were very respectful and it was great!
Rabid it's good to hear from you friend!
So much for the black shirts....
Tell me about it. But I am just disappointed we didn't give Gardner a shot at QB at all that game. Bellomy clearly was not ready.
I feel like we would have came back if Gardner came in.
And yeah, even though OSU had some real close games against inferior opponents, 12-0 is still a major accomplishment, especially for a first year HC. The rivalry is looking like it'll be awesome in the future.
You mean you're not worried about this Nebraska D?
Definitely not, since we don't play for another five years or so.
Chance Stewart. I love that kids film. I believe he will be a very good QB for Wisconsin and I am still salty that Michigan let him get out of state.
Hind sight is always 20/20, but I think Gardner at QB, Denard and Fitz in the backfield from day 1 this season and you guys are in a BCS bowl. Don't see how Hoke and Borges did not see this in fall camp unless they were being senior loyal to Denard at QB.
Coach Hayes...Why did you go for two with such a big lead?..."Because we couldn't go for three"
Hmmmn, I don't think so. There was no way Borges would've even considered it. Gardner was an unproven quantity and we needed receivers so desperately. Going into the Nebraska game, most Michigan fans would tell you we thought Bellomy could be a servicable back-up for Denard. As we found out after Denard went down, Bellomy was not ready. I really don't think the coaches knew how good Devin could be at qb until after the Minnesota game.
But you're right, it would've been interesting to see Denard as a running back/receiver role the whole year. However, I don't know if that would've equaled a BCS berth given all of our other deficiencies. But fun to think about.

What makes you so sure of that?
With the exception of Tressel's run it hasn't been true in a few decades.
Michigan was 8-4 this year and Ohio State had no high quality wins.
How do you leap from that to these 2 teams dominating the Big 10?
I would say for the most part that OSU and Mich dominated the 90's as well, PSU had a couple good yrs.
Michigan's not going to be playing the #1 and 2 teams in the BCS every year in the non conference schedule. Ohio State was #1 in conference this year and Michigan was #3.
OSU will no doubt...

UM had 3 outright conference titles and OSU had none.
Exactly how is that "dominating the conference"?

UW won three conference titles and three rose bowls during the 90's.
Maybe because the rest of the conference is so anemic. Just look at Nebraska last night....despite any holes or questions marks for Michigan next season (RB, OL), we should be favorites to win the division.
Hoke doesnt run anything, because he has no concept of coordinating an offense.....but yea, we ran a bunch of power I this season....Great point!!
