Exhibit A of my post. Crutch.
"Tonight, my butt's sore." - Mike Krzyzewski 11-29-11
I expect nothing more than to be called a dirty tramp here. You should hate me and I you… especially on the eve of our annual battle. On the other hand, I keep wanting to give you some kind of pass because of your sig pics. Good gawd!
Back to the topic (although hard to focus) I have read "War as They Knew It." It is sitting on the shelf in front of me. Read up on the Toledo War (1835-36). That’s where the hate was born. Fascinating stuff for someone who went to AACC grad school, but probably over the head of the lefty loosies you get for undergrads up there. As for MSU, ROTFL! Penn State, Wisconsin, Penn State… they are all the same. They will never get it or how irrelevant they are.
The credibility of your post was undermined by your continual usage of "AACC." If you want to have an intelligent conversation on the rivalry you need to show some respect to your rival.
All these numbers are pretty much irrelevant. Last 25 years we have been pretty equal. Last 50 years, pretty equal. Overall record is likely to always be Michigan's.
I respect OSU because we are basically equals, among the best the sport has to offer. That is the whole point. Everything else is nonsense.
Why? I don't like you and you don't like me. Why would I not rib you while I also try to fill that head of yours with some historical fact. I'm not here looking for respect or friendship. This is our week to have at it. So, have at it. OMG! y2kMgrad has called out my credibility! He won't read my whole post! What am I going to do?!?!?!?
Exactly, if AACC was absolutely dominate we wouldn't be rivals. I will always despise you for 1996 in particular. It's those very personal moments that make a rivalry. Not what happend in 1902. And for the record, i don't think i would be here posting if I didn't have at least a measure of respect for AACC and most of their fans. But i can't admit that at the moment because we are 25.5 hours to kick off.

TL;DR. Nice try marginalizing some of Michigan's wins though. 58-44
I don't mind it, very minor trash talk. Kind of equivalent to those that refer to them as ohio. NBD
Very entertaining. Is that what you told yourselves while you were winning one game in a a decade vs Ohio State?
No not really. Most of the team will not be there because they are getting ready for their NFL games Sunday.
Serious question because I don't feel like reading the thread - will Clarrett be there?
Absolutely. Any celebration of that team would be a total sham without both Tress and Clarrett. What happened later had nothing to do with the 2002 Championship, and the contributions both made to the team.
Clarett has been out of prison since 2010. He had a very well followed blog in prison where he spoke candidly about his struggles and maturation. He would be the first to tell you there is a tremendous amount of tragedy in his story, but also is doing a lot of good now in the Columbus area working with non-profits and at-risk youth. He was a pretty amazing talent with a lot of issues. Some Buckeye fans still despise him for what they perceive as a black eye on the program. I despised him for several years myself. But I grew up a little myself and hope that Mr. Clarrett continues to use his experiences to positively influence others who are at risk of making the same poor choices he did.
would you care to actually provide statistics to back up your claim that Michigan has the most wins and losses against those schools?
Can you try to make a point without insulting special needs children? You may have one some day.
Actually, out of all the major programs in the nation, Michigan has the least "garbage" wins.
"From what I've heard...." No doubt from someone who was in each and every class. What else ya got?
Way worse. Extra practice time (should have) given you better teams on the field. Most predict that selling your OWN memorabilia won't even be an infraction in a few years. Tressel lied and that is why OSU got the hammer. What the players did was completely harmless and will be amended when they revisit the rules - trust me.
It was extra stretching. Not extra "practicing" per se.
Oh, yes, I'll definitely trust you, guy. Keep lying to yourself. Tressel cheated, and now your 2012 season doesn't even matter. Which is pretty funny, seeing as you could've played for the championship. Your program is paying the price for what it did.
Also, if extra stretching time was "way worse" than free tattoos and selling memorabilia, why did the NCAA come down harder on you than us?
!. Classes are not illegal. 2. Totally false - 98% of the classes were filled by non football students. 3. Moronic babble.
Just go back to the early days and see for yourself. I used this marvel of technology called Google to find AACC’s all-time schedule. They include dozens of wins versus schools like Oberlin, DePauw, Case, Adrian, Albion, Olivet, Lake Forest, Adelbert, Wittenberg, Lehigh, Kenyon, Western Reserve, Michigan A.C., Detroit A.C., Michigan Military Academy, and the infamous win versus Grand Rapid high School on 10/10/1896. It happened and worse, it counts in your all-time record. That’s one of those things that make us Buckeye fans laugh at AACC fans when they brag about being the all-time winningest program. Sure, back in the day we played some crappy schools, but a high school? OMG! That is hilarious!
I can hear it now... Go Blue! Beat Grand Rapids HS!
You're absolutely right. Comparing any Bucknut to a special needs child is indeed an insult to special needs children. 8^P
Sorry, I usually don't get involved, but this one was ripe for the picking!
We'll let you decide which wins count and which don't since it makes you feel better about yourself. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will recognize us as the all time winningest team in college football history.
