And you think Detroit fans on here do? It's a Michigan board, I'm sure most of us are from the area. I grew up on the west side and have always been a fan of every Detroit team, through the good and bad. And Toronto being Hockeytown over Detroit, lol. We love our hockey just as much in Detroit and have been relevant for the past 20 years. It's going to be fun owning that series in the new realignment.
Awesome ending to tonights game....the high intensity of the 3rd period and numerous scoring chances finally paid off in the uber exciting OT win....GO WINGS
It's cliche, but playoff hockey is the damn best.
i bet SirCharles enjoyed that big win from the Wings last night eh??how'd those leafs do??now excuse me while i smoke the victory cigar
If he is a Leafs fan you may have to cut him a break. It has been a pretty long drought...
Hockey is the 3rd most popular sport in Detroit.....How is that hockeytown?
Hockeytown USA maybe...although Minneapolis is pretty good as well.

Biggest jump in quality of product in all major pro sports. I can barely stand the regular season but love playoffs
It goes beyond just the red wings. The AAA teams here in Detroit are really good too. Plus it doesn't matter if its the 3rd most popular (if that's true) 22 years of playoff hockey it deserves to be called hockeytown
True sorry in regards to the AAA teams. I was an 89 and played for the ice dogs, belle tire, and Caesars. Honey baked was #1 in the nation in my age group and at a time compuware wasn't far behind. Hockey is huge in metro Detroit. Almost every city has a rink. Now I played a million tournaments in the Toronto area too but metro Detroit is a huge hockey area.
I played for Victory Honda a few years before going to Caesars and then Honeybaked. Compuware and Honeybaked were almost always the top ones in our age. Playing for Honeybaked was a lot of fun, that was my favorite team I was on.
My buddy in high school played for Honeybaked before going on to play at Michigan
did you really?my bro played on Victory Honda!his best friend was Chris Crane from Honeybaked who got drafted by the sharks. he played against the same Honeybaked Cam Fowler and Kenny Ryan were on...i use to play against all of the midwest elite teams too but i didnt play for them like my bro did cuz i didnt want to drive all the way to Detroit so many times a week for pracy from southern Ohio...
my brother was a 1990 birth year and played for Honda.Belle tire won the national championship when he played but Honeybaked was def the most skilled team. Belle Tire was just physical as shit and noone wanted to play them lol
Tristian's awesome. Very good player, too. I was sad to see him leave UM.
What's up fellas? Neal and Orpik back in the lineup, killed 2 penalties already....let's gooo
The real deal!!
Not a good goal for Fleury to let in, but then a worse play by Nabokov to open up the entire net for Neal.
Fleury is the only thing holding you back from being unbeatable.
Pens played a terrible 1st period....They're trying to give them this game. Good thing the PK has been great
This is a really weird series. The Pens are obviously the better team and it's clear that they're more talented, but the Islanders are somehow staying in it.
Wow Fleury has been horrible these playoffs. I said two nights ago that I would have started Johnson tonight.
I don't know anything about Johnson, but I would have considered it if you have a competent backup. I'd probably pull Fleury for Game 5 if NY pulls this out.
