"Now, I have repeatedly said in this space that we have to give recruits some serious slack in making what might be the most pressure-packed decision of their lives. We’re talking about teenagers who suddenly have powerful and famous football coaches telling them how great they are and that isn’t easy.
That’s why you see so many kids make stupid and emotional decisions like playing for Mayor McCheese Up North flipping between four SEC schools in a three month span or choosing a college destination on the criteria that there was a Chick-Fil-A on campus."

Meh. Right now Michigan has a great recruiting class and Ohio fans are having trouble dealing with it. Besides we all know that "stupid and emotional decisions" are okay as long as they help Ohio.
If it comes out of "ohiostate.247sports.com" it's a pretty safe assumption that it's going to be extremely biased. I don't think it's worth getting worked up over.
Does anyone really know what the circumstances were behind the Anzalone/Baugh picture?
This guy is ragging on Sal Anzalone pretty hard, but as far as I know all parties have been really quite about what actually happened.
Like where were they at, even?
Baximus, enough said...
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
It cracks me up that they actually think it's a stupid emotional decision to come to Michigan.
How does this guy have a job with 247?
Be careful, Todd's gonna get after you.
Sorry, but that article is very unprofessional and should be unacceptable. You simply cannot say that it's stupid to go to Michigan and all of our commits made emotional decisions and expect not to get backlash. That's not including the fact that he called a coach of another team Mayor McCheese.
He is not a staff member of 247 sports.
I am only about halfway through and that is already one of the most unprofessional things I have read. Just bashing on everything and everyone.
"Isn't it amazing what somebody will do when he can't bunt." - Vin Scully
I'm aware, but he publishes articles on the 247sports network.
Most of the Ohio State recruits are overrated anyways..The only reason they got most of them is because the intrigue of and lies of Urban Meyer..once they see the product on the field and how gimmicky the offense is they will understand that the B10 is different when you have to play a week to week B10 schedule in colder weather..The offense will stall and the defense is average at best..
Michigan will take control of the rivalry with B10 style play and a strong Oline that wears the defense down and controls the clock.
See how easy it is to write homeristic bias content ? I respect the rivalry and OSU..but most of their fanbase is a collection of big mouth, uninformed, dreamers.
It was a joke, M&B, not a serious observation. Do you guys never make similar comments about tOSU? C'mon.
When in doubt, punt.
Maybe it was a joke, but none of the article reads like it.
Baximus's opinions are too biased for my taste so I choose not to read his articles. However, you must understand every fan is biased for his team and against their rival it's just to differing extents. Fan is short for fanatical (as I'm sure you all know) and nothing about fanatical is grounded.
you just copied and pasted VIP info right off another 247 site, along with the link. This is even after you've been claiming on OSU and USC boards that you're not doing this. unreal
Good lord. This is a 24/7 article. Every VIP member of any site can read it.
I took a quote out of it. Anyone that has VIP can read it. I purposely didn't VIP the post so OSU could comment on it when they came over here. I'm not a mod so you can stop while you're ahead.
It was a 2000 word piece on Alex Anzalone. There were two mild jibes at your beloved University's football coach and team. No grown-ups who cheer for tOSU 'actually think it's a stupid emotional decision to come to Michigan'. Okay? All better?
Now get back to your arithmatic homework and clean up your room before Daddy gets home. Dinner's in half an hour.
Alright internet tough guy, crawl back to Bucknuts before you embarrass yourself.
Not sure if he's a "grown-up", but Bax does literally believe that.
Its funny you think I care about what he said about Michigan. What bothered me was the unprofessional nature of the article as a whole, that to me seemed as if he was a member of the Buckeyes 247Sports crew (which I have come to learn that he is not, and is just a fan so now it doesn't bother me as much as it did when I thought it was an article representing the opinions of 247Sports).
appears I was wrong. my apologies
I'm honestly not trying to bully anyone or be an 'Internet tough guy'. But I am a father and know childishness when I see it. You take things wa-a-a-a-y too seriously over here. Buh-bye.
