Poggi did speak to the coaches on Friday, and spoke to them today.
Yeah, this isn't necessarily a good thing. Unless the in-home was supposed to be happening for a while and they just got it scheduled for now.
Was it an in-home? Coulda sworn Mattison went to Conley's school, not his home.

I think every kid is different and what works on one doesn't mean it would work on another
never liked the name Biff. He was so mean in Back to the Future!
Not me. To me it sounds like biff wants his son to go to bama, while his son committed to michigan.
Lol, sounds like Biff wants to commit to Bama more than his son. Word from...another trusted recruiting source (Tom VH) is that he'd be "very surprised" if Poggi opts to decommit from UM and sign with Bama, fwiw.

Thats what im saying
It seems to me that biff wants his son badly to join the dynasty at bama. Henry went through his due diligence and selected michigan. With time waning, biff is pulling out all of the stops.
No kid wants to decomit, especially to greg. Hopefully its all shored away tomorrow.
Just to set the record straight Conley had decommitted from Michigan before Mattison had his in-home.
Just to set the record straight, nope and I don't care.
Lex, that was the reason i loved him.
Its futile trying to hate a man named biff.
"Hey mcfly!" "oh, you aint mcfly, but you look like em"
Best character of my childhood
haha I agree, loved those movies. Love when old mcfly gives big biff what he deserves.
Watching Teen Wolf now. Classic.

omg that part he is in the play is the best....
^ There is an awful lot of speculation here. Do you really think Biff and Henry are that far apart on this? His dad and high school football coach all rolled into one? I would be shocked if that were the case.
So far I haven't read one thing coming from Biff (other than the twitter nonsense that I don't believe to be from an authentic account) that implies he wants his son to go to Bama. Sure, there was a lot of praise for Bama on their "visit", but why shouldn't there be? Let's face it, they are the gold standard in college football right now and nothing Biff is quoted as saying should come as a surprise to anyone.
At no time has Biff said anything negative about Michigan, its football program, its coaches or his son's decision to commit there. Whenever asked about his son's commitment status, he basically responds "no comment", which is consistent with his stance throughout this process.
But as long as we're going to speculate, my read on this is that he took the opportunity to bring his son along on an unofficial visit to Bama, was understandably impressed with what he saw and said as much. And that's it. I'm not reading anything more into the Mattison visit than the coaches doing their job to stay in touch with a coveted recruit and to keep showing the love right up until NSD.
Of course, this is all just my opinion, but I prefer it to much of the paranoia that has been pervading Henry's recruitment of late.

Henry hasn't answered me, which is disappointing because he usually does.
All I know is that the coaches had their scheduled in-home visit with him about a week and a half ago; a second in-home in a short amount of time isn't typical.

ahhhh steve, we were having great non insider convo!!! pa pa please don't do this to me!
Was saying that B1G teams need to learn how to recruit to compete with SEC not a jab at Michigan? Especially when he implied that OSU was the only B1G 10 team that recruited on the same level as the SEC.
That doesn't seem right. His dad was obviously part of the due diligence process before Henry chose UM. At the time he also had a Bama offer. They did not want to look into it further. They never did. Now, because they tag along a visit for another kid.. That now the dad really wants him at Bama? Kids from the dad's hs team had been recruited by Bama before. It sounds like the dad had been there before too. So, that all changed to the point where a coaches' son would decommit and break their word just before signing day? Really? Has any coaches kid pulled that type of move? I highly doubt it.
I purveyed the info late, as i was gone through most of this going down. I assumed the twitter was in fact biff. So at this point, we are still unsure if he said these things? Im trying to make sense of these "twitter happenings".
My stance would eerily similar to yours if these biff tweets are in fact, well, fake.
That's the twitter nonsense I was referring to. I don't believe that was Biff Poggi's account. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for him to say some of the things attributed to him.
The twitter account is not his dad. That is how. Michigan has two SEC recruiters, so the twitter did not make any sense and was not even a slight at UM.
Henry is all blue....Nothing to see here
See Uncle Newt's comments on page 2 of this thread. I think he says it best.
It just makes no sense that Biff Poggi, a respected high school football coach, would say any of the things in that twitter feed...
