This is more of how I feel. Middleton was a decent player that could have been useful for the next few years at least, but there's no doubt that he's replaceable and wasn't going to get major playing time. Kravtsov is trade fodder so there's not much to comment here.
The big thing is how you value Knight. If you're a believer in Knight, this is a bad deal because Jennings isn't worth a young pg and wing player. However, I'm not a big believer in Knight (especially given the Pistons current roster) so I like this deal. I think Jennings is a much better option right now and given that this team was pretty much just a point guard away from legitimate playoff contention, I'm fine with this deal.

I like the deal too. It's only for 3 years, so worst case is you get 2 bad years and then dump him to a team that wants the expiring contract. The best case scenario is that the big front court forces help defenders on Smith / Monroe and gives him more open looks than he saw in Milwaukee.
I also wonder if they'll play Billups at the 2 like he played in LA, thus putting two shooters / ball handlers on the court with the Smith-Drummond-Monroe front court. That would somewhat alleviate the spacing issues people were talking about when it was going to be Knight-Stuckey. Then you can bring Stuckey / Bynum off the bench as more slashers with KCP as the shooter, if he's ready.
I think they will, but they might have Billups guard the 1 and Jennings guard the 2 (depending on the matchup). I think KCP will be the first guy off the bench to replace one of the bigs, and go to a more traditional lineup.
