I hope Lebron goes elsewhere. I want to see him dominate another year in Miami, move on to another decent team, and make them the best team in the league for five years. It's funny to watch.
Pistons bringing in Italian league MVP Luigi Datome. He's a sf and allegedly a really good outside shooter. Can't really say I've seen much of his game, but an interesting signing to say the least.
According to media reports, the Pistons reached an agreement on a two-year contract with Italian star Luigi Datome.

Havent seen anything more than a few minute highlight tape, but he shot 40+% from 3 and 90+% from the FT line. At worst, he should be a good shooter off the bench. Intriguing pick up.
Apparently Chauncey Billups signs with the Pistons.
Wondering if Sheed is going to come off the bench for a few minutes a game!! #playercoach
All of Dumars' bad moves are forgiven. I'm way too happy right now.
Oh the nostalgia. I might have to dig up my old Billups jersey.
FrankC -- All the Chauncey love you're seeing is why people feel Cleveland has a legit shot to get LeBron back. Pistons fans, for the most part, are ecstatic we just signed a 36 year old point guard to a 2-year contract for $2.5million per year to come off the bench.
Good mentor and coach for Brandon Knight.
Will play the role Lindsay Hunter played a couple of years back, but better. Will mentor Brandon Knight, and he shot 37% from 3 last year. I could care less what we pay him after what he's done for this franchise. His PER last year was 15.00, meaning he was an average NBA player; only 5 players on the Pistons had a higher PER last year (Andre, Moose, Calderon, Will Bynum, Jerebko).
I don't think Lebron back to CLE and Chauncey to DET are the same situation. Lebron left while Chauncey was traded away. I can see how Lebron might want to go back and make an attempt to be the "Savior" again in CLE but I don't think he wants to be seen as someone jumping ship constantly.

Love this signing for so many reasons. Dumars is gaining back my respect...haha
disagree, if the players hes drafted continue to show a lot of promise and improve he doesnt need to make the playoffs.
Agree with this. They are locked into contracts with the core group and Cheeks is in his first year. A new GM wouldn't want to come in with the same players and same coach, so unless it's a disaster of a year I think Dumars is safe. Would need to be top-3 pick bad (I know they are top-8 protected in the pick they traded) to give a new GM the ability to draft their guy and maybe move others.
even if its a disaster he should be ok IMO. that means we get a wiggins or jabari parker type player. only way he should be fired is if the players really go against mo cheeks and its just chaos in the locker room. than its time to move on
I said that four days ago, before Dumars signed Datome and Billups. If this signing of Josh Smith dosent workout and we play pretty bad I can see him being fired. Gores want to win and win now, not 3-4 years later.
wouldnt surprise me. i think hes had a good offseason so far minus not drafting burke. the free agent signings have made a lot of sense. will be interesting if he can swing a trade for brandon jennings or rondo
I don't know about Brandon Jennings, he's a streaky shooter with average defense. Rondo is coming back from an ACL injury and most likely wont be ready until November/December. I say lets see what Knight can do in his Junior year in the league. He also has Billups as a mentor which can't hurt. For trades I would like us to pick up a SG or a backup C. Maybe Gerald Henderson and Dalembert.
Keep Brandon Jennings the f away from my Pistons. Undersized, inefficient chucker who cant finish.
rondos ACL doenst worry me. ACL injuries arent as serious as they used to be. jennings would be a good fit for our offense. KCP isnt a guy who can create his shot. more of a RIP Hamilton a spot up shooter. i think jennings could get a lot of assists lobbing it up for drummond and josh smith and then setting up KCP for the jump shot. you could say the same with rondo.
i somewhat agree with the Knight input too. hes still young so maybe a year under the wing of billups would help a lot
Tell that to Derrick Rose. Still not convinced by Jennings, he's a shooter PG and not very good at.
