The line is 0.5.
We have 0 commits today from the state, but are pursuing Chase Winovich (LB), KJ Williams (WR), and Montae Nicholson (S).
I like to bet and I would for sure take the over.
Over for sure. I would've set the line at 1.5, but I think we absolutely get one of those, most likely KJ Williams.
I was thinking about 1.5 as the line, but I haven't heard much about Nicholson that makes me confident, and Winovich was really high on OSU previously, so will he flip completely to liking us enough to commit before some other LB grabs the spot? Williams I feel is the best option, but if the coaches offer Moe Ways, would they take Williams or slow things down until Scott and/or Holmes are ready to decide?
Under KJ Williams will lose his spot to Moe Ways.
Easy over, KJ Williams.
I think the line should be at 1.75
No one knows if that is the case, probably only the coaches, or one of the WR recruits that they have spoken with. I would assume that Scott has a spot open regardless of who commits, and that 4 WR in that case would be possible. Just kick Hagerup off the team
Just curious, how would a commit followed by a decommit be scored? 0.5?
Official rules state a commit would be a +1, then a decommit from that same prospect would give another +1 because they are obviously #scraps and we didn't want them anyway.
This is the correct answer.
Easily the over....we'll get KJ or Montae for sure
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
Stay out of our state! Granted, only one of those three has a PSU offer, so you guys are just chasing scraps in Winovich and KJ anyway.
Kidding obviously. Haven't followed those two too much, but it seems like KJ is likely to UM, so I'd go over. Nicholson seems pretty high on a few places, UM and PSU included. PSU might be out of spots for a safety soon, so who knows (scholarship restrictions killing us, hence no PSU offers for KJ/Winovich). Very jealous that you guys can have a class with more than 10-12 recruits...
I'm surprised you're not offering KJ and Winovich. Do you just have higher targets at LB or WR?
Well, we only have like 10 spots in the next class at this point to keep us under 65. We had 3 WR's in our top tier vying for 1 or 2 spots. Two of the top three committed to PSU this week (Apke, very fast kid from western PA and Thompkins who just got bumped a bunch on here and is a top 60 player on ESPN). Unfortunately, the kid we looked most likely to get about a week ago, Godwin, probably lost his spot and he had OSU as his #2 school at this point (although they might not be able to take him either). Oh well.
As for LB, we had one spot and maybe an OLB/Safety hybrid spot. The top kid on the board committed to the pure LB spot and now they're looking more for kids who could play safety and maybe slide into the OLB spot if needed.
Not sure if those two would have had offers in a normal year or not. Also, the prevailing feeling was that Winovich would have been offered if he came to campus, but he just never made it up. I think he would have said no thanks to PSU anyway, as it looks like Pitt/OSU/UM are way ahead.

Did the whole mess with Zayd Issah open up another LB spot, or has that already been factored in?
It's sort of up in the air. BOB gave Issah the option of going to prep school, and if he gets through that, he can earn his spot back. Some people may not like that, but the reality is BOB thinks he deserves a second chance if he can earn it. Nobody is sure what he's going to do at this point, so it's tough to gauge how they'll recruit that spot. Most people think they should be taking 2 LB's regardless, but based on the lack of offers they've put out there, it looks like it will be 1 pure LB and a safety who can potentially slide into that spot. The 65 scholarship restriction pretty much forces them to look for kids who can play multiple positions anyway.
Winovich would get an offer if he would just visit. He is obviously not interested in Penn State, unfortunately.
How is a linebacker from PA not interested in Penn State?
I will go under the 0.5 and say that Ways takes Williams spot
Winovich, Nicholson, Williams. I think we get 2 of them. OVER
Still wish Michigan was in it for Dravon Henry...................
