How does 247 figure out rankings?
Doesn't make sense especially with Clemson number 2
Not really sure, they really shook up the rankings recently if those are legit.
Good for them. Couldn't care less
They definitely aren't. There is zero possibility that Clemson would be ahead of UM, Bama, ND.... etc. Formula has a bug.
Rankings are messed up, they're currently fixing them.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
I thought it must be an error but wasn't positive
247 needs to figure out what they want to do with rankings because they rerank players wildly so often that their rankings are becoming a joke. How can Alabama have the #1 or #2 class a month before NSD and then fall to #6 or #7 or #8 overnight for no other reason than 247 decides to rerank everyone? By early January, the rankings should be near final and any changes should be miniscule. Either that or 247 better wait to put out any rankings until a week or so before NSD because everything else they put out earlier is meaningless.
Agree that Alex Collins RB they just ranked as a top RB came out of really no where and they do it often
This is not accurate. The rerank is not complete and there is just a glitch as of now. Pay no attention to it for now
So what you're saying is ... Oops, that's not right!
Urbz is killing it
Our coaches can't close! They come out strong but then get passed up every year by Urban Liar! I've had it up to here with them!
Michigan is #1 in Scout recruiting.
I've been trying to figure 247 team ranking out all year... it seems like someone just hit a scramble button and everything is all messed up.
Even if OSU is first in 247, I just think it's hilarious that none of the 4 major services have an SEC team ranked #1 - in fact, it's just us and our rivals.
Midwest don't need no SEC.
With all due respect to 247, their recruiting rankings suck balls.
I really am not a fan of them. They seem to find a prospect they like early, and never back off from them, no matter what happens.
I do enjoy their composite rankings, I'm really surprised it took that long to have a system like that.
All of these sites rankings are pretty funny if you think about it. If a team lands twenty 5* skill players WR, RB, DB, and two or three 3* other positions DL, OL, LB they will for sure get the #1 ranking. Anyone who follows football knows that as the level of competition increases the line of scrimmage becomes more and more important in the outcome of the games. I don't get it.
Triple post, fast thumbs over here

I remember hearing this a while ago so I can't show my sources, but I believe they take the top 19 recruits per team and point total them. Its why a&m isn't ranked super high with 35 recruits and counting. Also I know Illinois is over the 25 limit. Will you guys only take one more player? I heard in the past the head of the big wasnt to allow it? Just some questions?
Sorry double post
Someone can explain it better than me, but I believe we had 24, though 3 of the early enrollees count towards 2012's scholarship total. So we're at 21 and can take 4 more, I believe. Don't quote me.
