Right now I have DirecTV and have had Comcast. My grandparents have Dish Network so I'm familiar with that as well. For the most part I absolutely love DirecTV. I subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket and MLB Extra Innings (NFLST is AMAZING). It has every important channel in HD and I hardly ever need to call customer service. If it's *Pouring* rain the picture will go out, but not more than a few minutes. I'm a diehard Michigan fan so thankfully it has BTN, but I also wish it had the Pac 12 Network. I'm a football junkie and like to watch it all. I can also record 5 shows at once which is very valuable.
Comcast is fine but here in Ann Arbor it doesn't offer the Pac 12 Network or NFL Sunday Ticket. I always had to call customer service a little more frequently than DirecTV.
What do you guys have and how do you like it or hate it? I know a lot of young guys try to go without. I'm 27 and am a big TV nerd. Besides sports I would go crazy without Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, and countless other shows. Sorry it's somewhat off topic. August 29 can't get here fast enough.

If you love and watch a lot of sports DirecTV is the best. You also get bonuses like extra channels (for free) during the Masters, British Open, etc
I have Time Warner, which is good enough for TV, but must be the nut low for Internet. My favorite provider is AT &T U-Verse, easily.
If you're really into sports though, DirecTV has to be the best choice...im pretty sure they have exclusive rights to Sunday Ticket.
I had Time Warner but when my bill was $185 a month for internet and cable, I had to make a change. I now have DirecTv and CenturLink internet and pay half of what I did for TWC. I am loving DirecTv too. The ability to record 5 shows at once is awesome and not to mention the DVR storage is MUCH more than with TWC. So glad I made the switch earlier this year.
This sounds like a commercial.
Haha, no joke I thought the same thing as I read it before posting.
I use DIRECTV, although if I am ever able to get U-verse via AT&T, I may make the switch. I hate AT&T's Internet service, but for some lame reason I don't have access to their television service on my street. What's so hard about making it available? I just don't get it.
Live long and prosper (well, except Buckeye fans).
My guess would be a bandwidth issue. Maybe they need to upgrade in your area.
I have Charter. I have no complaints. I have had U-Verse and DishNetwork in the past. Charter edges out U-Verse because of the internet. TV wise they are pretty equal. I get NFL Redzone so when my team is not on, I am glued to that.
We have brighthouse only because they are the only cable provider for this neighborhood. They are terrible and cost way more and give you way less than AT&T and Comcast. AT&T has been the one like the best and I have it up at school and I love it.
Direct TV is very good. I'm wondering if I might be able to get that new Genie DVR device for free because I've been with them for 3 plus years now? Anyone think it's a possibility that I could upgrade for free?
Edit: So jealous reading about those that can record 5 games at once(I can do 2), and having way more room. I only have like 40 something games on my DVR from last football season and it's completely full.

I just did this a couple of weeks ago. You basically need to find out what Dish is offering for new customers and threaten to remove your service because of their technology. DirecTV is great because they will actually negotiate with you. I ended up with several discounts, a free premium service for the year and the Genie upgrade for free.
Edit: Actually, I have the capability now to record 9 shows at once (which is extremely unlikely) after my equipment upgrades.

Thanks! Will be placing a phone call tomorrow. Just in time for football too.
