Is it good? Or overpriced?
This post was edited by buttesnake 23 months ago
It is a bit expensive, but I love it. Most people seem to go to the Deli, but I love the restaurant even more.

Refer to your own damn board...have a huge thread on it!
Are you obsessed with deli threads on tRCMB?
You can't trust those guys to give objective deli reviews anyway.
Just wondering...do people pay VIP to get deli reviews?
super secret insider pastrami action, clearly
i thought it was ok, a little over priced
And to answer the original post; it is both good and overpriced.
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
I think the measure of any good/great deli is the Reuben sandwich.
How does it stack up at Zingerman's?
I haven't been back there in a few years, but the rare roast beef w/ tomato, horseradish, salt, and pepper on sourdough was a thing of beauty. Never tried the Reuben, but I imagine it's pretty good too. Some might argue it's overpriced, but I've spent $12 at places like Potbelly which I didn't think was nearly as good as Zingerman's.
Best sandwiches I've ever had, also the most over-priced.
Can't go wrong with the restaurant.
If I had one day in Ann Arbor, I'd eat:
Brunch- Angelo's pancakes and a couple eggs
Lunch (around 2 PM because of the lunch rush)- Zingerman's #55
Dinner- Seva's Yam Fries and their Reuben
At the party- NYPD or Cottage Inn's cheese pizza

Is the Triple Play Reuben at Maize and Blue Deli better?
It is very good but overpriced. Expect to pay $15, but it is delicious. I always say its overpriced yet I still go back because I think its worth it....so I'm starting to wonder if I really think its overpriced or just expensive.
Best Reuben ever!
I'm in Cal. My wife once bought me a mail order Rueben from Zingermans and it was still better than anything here or New York (lived there too). Its been a while though.
Whats with the VIP deli posts?

It's unimaginably delicious. So it's not "overpriced" at all...it's somewhat pricey, and appropriately so.
Didn't see it on the menu. Which number?
So, you're saying a Reuben you got in the mail is better than a Reuben you can get from a NYC deli?
That must be a pretty good Reuben.
