Sounds like the best trip ever. I probably would have hunted over fishing though!
You dont go to Montana and not fly fish probably the best in the world.
Kill kill kill!
Hiw was the skiing?
Cheap or expensive? Is tbere a nightlife?
The skiing was great. The trip was great. Cost was wasnt so bad for me my buddy from school set me up at this huge cabin. As for night life it wasnt the greatest but I was too tired to go anywhere anyway.
Yeah, that's what's holding me back. That and the fact my current skis are better.
You fly fish?
If i skid out east though, i would prob have a set of volkl kendo's and/ powder or park ski.
Those kendos would rip out east. But dude i bought the volkl bridge online for 300 with binding. Its 95 under foot with twin tips and a full rocker. I guess it holds up on groomer but js fun in the park. But the full rocker makes it float in pow.....since i can only have one ski, it should fit everything.
Not nearly as much as I would like. There is nothing like it my friend. You?
Yeah, I fly fish, easily the most rewarding fishing you can do. I need to catch a salmon soon though!
I was thinking of grabbing a new pair of skis just because I have nothing else to ask for for Christmas. Might buy a pair of K2's though, I'll probably spend a good week or so researching them and find the best all around ski. I love twin tips and running through the park on occasion, but I spend most of my time in the glades because it's the biggest challenge.
Its the most serene or (the being at one type moment), but the most rewarding I would have to say is deep sea fishing for Marlin. You fight for hours and when you are done you have this huge beautiful fish. I highly recommend.
I will have to try it next time I go down south.
Fly fishing is such a long process though, practicing casting constantly and standing in close to freezing water for a couple hours just to catch a few fish, if you're lucky. There is just nothing like it when you hook you're first fish.
Well when you catch your first one the fish isnt the only one getting hooked.
You have a pretty good overall ski now. Are you going to sell them? What size are they?
My bro just got the kung fujas, ill let tou know what he thinks. But they are 102 underfoot i think, and that is probanly too much for every day skiing out east.
I highly highly highly recommend joining epicski.com it js a message board like ours for skiing. Go to the equiptment section and ask about the newest best equiptment for you personally. Those dudes are sick, they know every detail and give updates and rest results on new skis. Just ask a question and they will ask you how big you are, style of skii.g, where you ski and juat aboit everything and they will help .you narrow tour choice down. These dudes are professionals. It would be like them asking us about michigan offense.....how intricate do you wanna go....you kmkw what i mean?
I don't know, I might just keep them and use them for icy days when there are some rocks and stumps sticking out. They are 179 I believe.
I'm probably only going to have this season left for skiing constantly, so I may just save the money and put it towards something fishing or hunting.
I'll check it out. I have a couple friends who work at ski shops and my brother is a ski junkie so I usually just go to them for advice on skis.
Thats the good news. Skiing, huntimg and fishing are things you can enjoy until your 80. You can share it with your kids as well.
I grew up duck and goose hunring with a lot of pheasant hunting.
I'm in the process of getting into coyote and deer hunting.
We have a ton of coyotes pop up here in the last ten years. Thats something i would like to do for sure
haha that's why I'm starting with coyote, they have been around my dad's stand and he's pretty much assigned me to get rid of them.
Has anyone been out yet? I've been twice this year and the conditions have been garbage, there's like no snow at all out here.
I just started Snowboarding this year. I've also only been out two times to Mt. Holly. Right now, I don't care about conditions, I just want to get out there and practice, get better, and snowboard period. I'm hooked .
I didnt even know mt. Holly was open right now lol. Ill meet you out there. I need to practice myself. Its been 45 every day is detroit so our conditions are awful.
