Not sure. Mt. Holly or brighton or pine knob. We can just take beers out there.
Ive been to alberta skiing but never made it to bc. Ive heard whistler is the premiere north american place.
You didnt get to take tbe real tram at jacksom hole did you then? It was pretty crazy, much worse then snowbirds. (the brand new one)
So vail sucks eh? My friend joe kept telling us it was the best resort ever. He loves the skiing there for some reason. Is vail that good? Is there another mountain close that is less expensive?
You got that champagne pow huh you dirt bal?
Have you seen seen the new matchstick movie?
I like Vail. Its probably the best in CO. If I'm making a trip though there are other places I'd go rather than Colorado.. I like Park City better for example. For Colorado I might try Crested Butte. I hate Breckenridge. I hated Steamboat but that's because its the first place I went after Jackaon Hole.
I took the Old Tram. I skied a lot if powder off Snowbirds tram too.
I'm surprised you never found powder when you were in Utah.
Yah, Jackson was amazing. They had a two day storm with Blizzard conditions at the top so the Tram was closed. That meant the left half of the mountain wasn't skied at all for two days. We caught the first Tram up the next morning when it opened. At Noon we were riding up the Tram when they announced the Hobacks were opening so we had first tracks there as well. With the small tram as the only access to all the great powder runs we were skiing powder for three days.
Omg, that sound flat out amazing. Yeah, i just have bad luck when it comes to snow. Hopefully its nuking in colorado when i go.
I cant believe you dont knkw what matchstick productions are.
Prepare to be blown..... 20 uears worth of movies but claim is still my fav. Last years la nina was pretty good. Go to itunes and buy them alm immediately
Everyone in this thread needs to see this.
Best skiing, cinematagrophay and production. The music is phenomenal as well. If your a skier, your dick may get hard....juat sayin.
Here is a little homage to my favorite skier ever. He passed away recently in a ski accident.
Last time I was at Snowbird was in 2000....did they get a new Tram? Is it located in the same place, just an upgrade?
No, jackson hole got a new tram a few years back and it us ridiculous.
McConkey was amazing. The Warren Miller and other ski videos were always great.
It's gotten out of hand though. Too many extreme skiers are dead from the sport. It's competitive so you better be ready to take more risk than the next guy.
Make sure you have a Red Bull before you jump.
McConkey documentary is coming out this Winter.
Did you see those clips?
The gap they built in alyeska alaska is absolutely crazy...
Videobdoesnt do it justice. The inertia coming over the towers makes the tram rock super hard. Its higher off the ground then most trams. Its pretty scary.
That must be the new tram? The best part of the ride was always the view of Corbett's. Look like it could use a bit more snow.
I don't remember much else about the old tram except the powder in the winter and walking down from the top one summer.

I think I might pick up some Line Afterbangs. Does anyone have any experience riding Line skis?
Yea I remember a few times on the Snowbird Tram that if you weren't holding onto a railing coming over a tower you basically fell over on people or on the floor if it wasn't that packed.
Its a great ski. K2 actually makes them, i just found that our recently.
Its a full park ski though right? Probably not too edgy and siper flexible. Im not sure i would add to my quiver unless you spend all day in the park.
Ive heard the new blizzard bonafides are everyones favorite. I may gwt those.
The last pole you go over is right at a cliff with wund blowing. As soon as we got over the edge the wind nlew all tbe windows open as it rocked back and forth. It was freaky as hell.
Talk about the worst say for that. You could hear that snow. It must have been ten below!
Have never been to vail but two years ago I went to Big Sky Mountain in Montana that was an awesome trip. I went to school with a guy that is a hunting and fishing guide there. He really hooked me up.
Big sky is owned by boyne mountain i believe. Ive heard good things about it.

It was awesome. I got to ski and fish. If I would have been able to stay longer would have hunted as well.
