When is the new South Campus said to be completed? Unfortunately I'm going to be gone before then, but from the looks of it they will be transforming South Campus into one of the (if not the) best athletic campuses in the nation.
Also, every time I see one of these videos, I can't help but think about the absurd differential in the athlete's weight room to the average students. The CCRB is a piece of shit building with, literally, pieces of shit as equipment. How much could it possibly cost to renovate the weight room for students?
WE'RE PEOPLE TOO.
I don't remember the CCRB being that bad. That was 2 decades ago, though. Maybe the same exact machines are still there? 8^D
The machines are either the same, or have been downgraded.
I was certainly no gym rat so maybe I'm not the best judge. One of my most embarassing moments in my life was at the CCRB. I went to workout by myself early in my freshman year. I had never benched free weights before, but could max out on most machines. I didn't know about stabilizer muscles. I put on a bunch of plates for my first attempt and didn't clip them down. I'm sure you can guess the hilarity that ensued. After some seesaw action and the thudding and clanging of dropping plates, I found the whole room staring at me. I'm somewhat proud of myself for ever showing my face there again.
My son works out at CCRB and IM. He says those places probably haven't changed since I was at school almost 30 years ago. I hope they update those facilities. The students deserve it.
Great video, by the way. Gave me chills at the end when they said "this campus isn't just a place....it's my home."
Sounds like you should just resort to
Shaddap! I got the hang of it. I'm no Kyle, though. 8^D
Two shakeweights is too much for Yuan, you're pushing his boundaries.
I think that's supposed to be Kyle. As for me, I've never tried shakeweights. I might have another embarassing moment with just one.
