Not necessarily. With Shorts and Blackmon on the outside, there's a niche in there for a slot WR. Admittedly, Gabbert is terrible, but Henne didn't look too bad filling in.
I'm loving it. Wish they would have drafted Denard but I know they don't need him
ugh the Jaguars?
Best QB on the roster.
Ughh. I hate the Lions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My lord Seattle just keeps adding to that defensive line which was pretty good last year.

Why do the Lions trade in the only round they didn't need to? They better have gotten at least a 4th rounder next year.
There has to be something extra going on with Jesse Williams, because a NT like that doesn't fall to the 5th without something else going on. At the very least, he could be plugged in immediately for depth. Teams constantly need big, run-stuffing DTs.
They announced Denard as a RB.
Could it just be his lack of time knowing football? Like isn't he in the Bjoern Werner/Margus Hunt mold in that he came from outside the country and is kinda raw because of not playing a ton of football?
I don't know how he fell though. He will be a great rotational player for them. It seems like Seattle is close to having a full 2 deep across the line that can play and they can rotate anyone in.

Despite hit athleticism he offers no pass rush. But there was a rumor a couple days ago that a consensus top 100 prospect was going to take a tumble because of some major injury concerns. He might be the guy.
Conngrats to Denard. The newest member of the Jags.
I thought the Steelers would have taken him in the 4th
Yeah, but he's not going to play RB in the NFL. If anything, he might be a Harvin-ish ATH hybrid, but his body can't take the hits NFL RBs take. If the Jags want him on the field, he'll mostly be special teams, and a pass-catcher, with maybe 2-3 plays/game where he gets a handoff headed to the outside.
Hope he plays some rb. He'd be good in a slash role. Put him all over the field. Rb, slot, reverses, kr and pr. They have to utilize that speed he has.
TBH I wanted to see Denard go to Washington to run a couple zone reads with RG3.
Kenny Stills to Saints great pick-up.
Love it. I love the Armstead pick, and I love the Stills pick. Not sure about Vaccaro though.
The Lions got pick 165 and 199 for that pick.
Wasn't pumped that it was Jacksonville, but at least Denard gets to stay in his home state and get to play in the NFL next season. Will be interesting to see where they put him and how he progresses over the next few years.

There are both positives and negatives. They are a team that can afford to experiment a little bit. They wont contend for the foreseeable future, so they can move Denard around and test the waters in multiple spots if it comes down to it. For a player like Denard that can help a lot. And he's close to home which is always nice.
I'm ok with that given who is still available
DJ Fluker is going to get abused by Von Miller, and Justin Houston. That was one of the worst divisions for him to go to.
They drafted a punter. I know nothing about this guy. Brad Wing would have been available in the 7th most likely.
