Figured we could start a thread since the draft is tonight.
Personally I would take a chance on Denard in the early part of the third round but I think he could go anywhere from the third to fifth rounds. A player that has never been caught from behind his entire career is very appealing to me if I was a GM.
I predict Kovacs going late seventh round.
I'm really curious to see who reaches in the first round. Will the Bills take Nassib at #8? Will Tavon Austin go in the top-15?
Also curious to see if the Lions can trade down from #5. If an OT is there and they really do want Ansah or Milliner, could they drop down to #7 or 8 and get another pick? Then even go with Warmack or Cooper at OG if Milliner or Ansah are taken.
that would be really cool if Kovacs did get drafted...
I really hope we have more than one guy drafted. I think a team could take a 7th round pick on Kovacs or Campbell, but I'm not sure. Seems like it will just be Denard.
I hope he does. Maybe I'm just being biased because I love the kid but I think he has the will/determination to be an NFL player, whether its as a special teams guy or at safety.
Trading down and getting Milliner or Warmack at the 10ish range would be wonderful.
I think he'll be an UFA. I'm not sure a team will take a guy as unathletic as him.
The only thing I am sure of is that the Lions will find a way to mess this up
If they take L Johnson or Z Ansah I will consider that a mess up...
I'd love to see them trade down, get either a tackle or a guard and then take Tavon Austin with the other pick. I know they have Reggie Bush and that they have other needs, but I think Austin will be a superstar.
Yep...and they're gonna mess it up
As a Eagles fan I can see can Kelly falling in love with Austin, I like Goodwin the WR from Texas more.
We need a Tackle or BPA
I was kinda upset when I saw Eric Fisher is going one or two. I'd love to trade down and pick up one or two picks. One thing I'm looking at is possibly trading with San Francisco and getting 3 picks in this draft from them. They have 13 picks and have to trade because they don't have enough roster spots. If we could get their first round (31), one of their second (29th) and one of their third (31) would be awesome.
NYC superbowl setting baby. Time to bring the cheese home & make history. Gmen win SB in their own back yard. I have yet to run into any NYJ fan on this blog, not that they have much going on. I honestly don't have a clue what they going to do. Either dline, oline or safety. Want me some Matt Elam or Kenny Vacarro.
No way man!! That's not nearly enough to move back from 5 to 31. I would need #31... 2 second rounders, including the one they have at the start of the 2nd, AND their 1st rounder next year. Minimum!
Saw a Schefter tweet earlier in the day. Lets see if I know how to post it:

At private workout today at UMich, former Mich QB Jim Harbaugh took snaps from Mich OL Patrick Omameh.

That's pretty cool. Doubt Omameh gets dratfed, but he'd be a good undrafted signee
Well- the Niners have like 37 picks. I'd have to assume if JH was impressed with PO's skills/potential at Center- he'd take the risk in the 7th, with one of their 13 7th rounders.
I found a trade value chart after I posted that and you're right. The Lions pick is valued at 1,700 and the 31st is worth 600, so we'd need at least 34th overall (worth 560) and the 61st (worth 292) and a pick next year. That total is just 1452 so a first or second rounder would make sense, especially since the 49ers are't going any where. I think if that is open, we'd probably get their first in the third round (74th overall) if that guaranteed we could their first rounder next year.
ESPN being more obnoxious than usual today. A little while ago they had a truly awful segment where they had Todd McShay and Co. role-play as the Browns war room on the clock with the 6th pick...complete with fake phone calls from "other teams" offering trades that they then debated. After 6 minutes of the worst acting you'll ever see, they wound up trading the pick to "the Jets" for the 9th and 72nd picks. Painfully awkward. Truly fantastic use of everyone's time
As a Giants fan I want Fluker,Warmack,Cooper,or Carradine.
yeah. No Teo, please....
I love me some John Cooper = beast ! Thinking they go OL tonight.
Clint, what team are you a fan of?
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
TAMU, I'm a Broncos and Chargers fan. It's tough to like both of them because they are in the same conference but I really grew to like both when my Dad was the tight ends coach with those two teams. When the Chargers and Broncos play each other, I've got to go with the Broncos.
Really want the Colts to get a WR, but they'll likely trade down.
If the 49ers get Sheldon Richardson... smh the rich get richer.
You know either San Fran or Atlanta is going to get much richer walking out of day one. I can't wait to see which one of these teams is going to pull the trigger on a huge move!
