Man this must be a dunk contest.
STAUSKAS WITH THE RIDICULOUS DUNK
UM will most likely lose both Burke and Hardaway jr, to the NBA after this year,
Morgan must have heard our complaining.
Levert has so much upside it's crazy.
The team at the moment is kinda showing its youth. They aren't doing enough to play out the clock and they aren't being awfully clever on defene.
Ah.. gotta keep your feetbon the ground Stauskas
My fault guys, just got home from work and turned the tv on. Sounds like it's been a very good game.
So many fouls over the last few minutes.
Why the # changes?
Amazing that Minnesota has actually played pretty well offensively and Michigan is still winning this game by double digits.
Burke's jersey was ripped and I'm not exactly sure why Morgan's was changed.
If this team doesn't shed its tendency to settle for outside shots, they will have a hard time in the tournament. Taking every reasonably decent 3 or long 2 opportunity is a good recipe to piss away a lead because you shorten the possession and they are still pretty low percentage shots.
This is the basketball team I remember from the first umpteen games of the year. Great conference win on the road.
Good win tonight.
A good win no doubt, but there was a stretch of play of about 3-4 minutes where the mistakes seemed to accumulate to the point where Minnesota could have come back (the lead was down to 5 I believe at one point) if they hadn't shot themselves in the foot. Without that stretch we blow them out here.
Really solid win on the road. Yeah, they did not play 'clean' the last 5 minutes or so. But on the road...you do what you have to do.
Pretty sure the only time they came within 5 was around the end of the 1st half. The closest they got in the 2nd should have been 7. And you and I must have been watching a different game based on your previous comments. We shot 50% from the arc and played well inside against one of the more physical teams out there. They are one of the best teams in the nation at crashing the boards on both ends of the court. Plus we were playing them at The Barn where they haven't lost this year. The only thing, they were shooting lights out from behind the arc at one point until cooling off. I'm more impressed with the team responding when Minn cut it to 10 after hitting a couple 3's to get the crowd into it.
Mbakwe's head looks like his skull was shrunk two sizes by a witch doctor. He's like a human sharpei with all the weird bumps and skin folds on his noggin. LOL!

You are right the lead only got down to 7 - There's a lot to be happy about but my posts reflected the fact that Michigan didn't score a field goal in the last six minutes of the game. Yes, there were a lot of fouls (and Michigan showed a bit of nerves on the FTs going just 60% for a stretch in that time) but Michigan also missed a number of long shots taken with plenty of time left on the shot clock.
Maybe that's nitpicking but that sort of cold stretch can kill you.
I understand what you're saying about the long shots and not using the clock. I just don't have a problem with taking the 3's throughout the game if you're squared and it's within the O, especially if you have the hot hand, like Hardaway had tonight. We have lethal shooters and by spreading teams out it makes it tough to defend us, both man and zone. Morgan and especially McGary give us an inside presence on both ends of the court. Not yet to the point where we can work inside out every possession, but at a point teams have to respect both of them. I was glad to see Nik continue to use teams aggressive nature on the 3 point line to drive around and go up hard. He's going to be special as time goes on...
Great game, and I thought the team showed a lot of maturity withstanding Minnie's late run and answering at key points. This team is definitely entertaining to watch. Minnie showed a lot of character hanging around. If they had shot better at the line down the stretch it would have gotten a lot more uncomfortable.
I'm still on a high from last night's game. This team can beat anyone in the country when they play like that!
