8 hours til game time, and it's after noon for me. Time to start drinking!
This game can't get here fast enough!
I think I saw someone post in another thread that Louisville might not press because they saw how we sliced up VCU's press and they don't wanna get their guards in foul trouble since they don't have Ware. IMHO, if they don't press, they can't win. They do not play well in slow game and will not score enough points. They will press and be agressive cause thats who they are and how they got here. They won't change up their identity in the championship game. I just think that either Russ Smith or Peyton Siva get in foul trouble tonight and it will be very hard for Louisville to keep on the scoreboard. If this turns into a track game...I think Michigan has the advantage. If it gets sloppy, then Louisville wins this game easily.
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
As Siva and Smith go, so goes Louisville. If we can get either one into foul trouble early, they're boned. I hope Burke and Albrecht have it drilled into their heads that they need to take care of the ball at all costs, and try to draw as many fouls as possible.
I'm so nervous!!!!!
Burke and Hardaway need to take the ball to the rack as often as possible in the first 10 minutes. The one guy I'm worried about containing is Behanan from Louisville. GRIII is gonna have to guard him and Behanon is very strong. Fortunately, I don't think Siva and Smith are that great of outside shooters. I hope Belien's plan is to clog the lane and make them shoot from the outside like the 1st half of the Cuse game and the whole UF game.
I just hope we can keep Siva out of the lane. He's not a very good shooter at all. As long as THJ or Caris can stay in front of Smith we should be ok
74-67 Burke and THJ both finally have a good game tonight and MM leads the team in dimes
Nothing to say beyond .
I won't be participating in this thread later and I have no idea how anybody will given the game that will be occurring. However, I hope more than anything that I'm able to come on here tomorrow and bask in the glory with the rest of you guys.
Keep Siva and Smith out of the lane. Protect the ball. Otherwise, play your game.
Louisville is good, but not great. We can do this, for sure.
Good, fast start, keep your heads in the game.
Now, back to my drinking...otherwise, I will stress myself out.
Let's get that National Championship!!
I'm so flippen nervous right now and we're still 5 hours from tip-off.
11 National Titles | 42 Conference Titles | 3 Heisman Winners | 78 All-Americans | 37 College Hall of Fame Members
Need Trey Burke to have a great game. Can't win if he performs like he did against Syracuse. Also we need Stauskas, Levert, Albrecht, and GRIII to hit a couple 3's to keep Louisville honest. If we don't turn the ball over, I like our chances a lot.
What, in a sense, frustrates me so much about this game is that we really should win. Sounds strange I know. But if we play the way we have been any of our past 5 match ups I don't see them scoring enough to keep up. They are not a great offensive team by any stretch of the imagination. So, what's frustrating is that if we lose, it will be a result of us losing, not them winning. I can be wrong of course and they can very well go off, have a great game, and deserve the title, but I just don't see it happening. If we lose, it's because we lost, and that's what I worry about most. There are so many reasons for why we can and should win this game and that is precisely what is aggregately contributing to my anxiety.
Are you ready?
3. More. Hours.
How the hell am I going to make it through 180 more minutes. ARGHGHHGHGHG!
Yes sir. #2. I also agree with your comment on their guard play driving the bus, it's making me drink this one a little faster. Those two are really good.
Everyone is talking about the Fab 5, but where is Loy Vaught, Sam Mills, Glen Rice, Sean Higgins, Rameal Robinson and the crew.
Above the rim, above the rim ! Lville.
I've been doing homework for the past couple hours, which has been a blessing in disguise. It killed a lot of time for me.
But now, I'm finished with it and these last hours are gonna be long ones.
Come on man. It's Rumeal Robinson. Can't butcher his name like that !
Pretty sure Jay Bilas had Michigan yesterday and now has Louisville
Will need an A+ effort tonight. Basically put all the good efforts together, then add the little things to it that sometimes go amiss and then Michigan can win. Louisville is the best team we'll play this year, the two coming after them being Indiana and Kansas. Lost two to Indiana, beat Kansas on a miracle. Will need a complete game in this, otherwise things could look very bad
