Where have I said that?
All I've been saying is it's getting old that M craps the bed in big road tests over the past couple years. Nothing about being undefeated this year.
11 National Titles | 42 Conference Titles | 3 Heisman Winners | 78 All-Americans | 37 College Hall of Fame Members
Well, if this team can't beat good opponents away from home, an early exit from the tourny is a legitimate concern.
Maybe I'm crazy, but aren't things going pretty good?
Disagree. They might be a little bit below the B1G standard this year, but put Minny in another conference and they'd be in the top 3, if not leading it. Their only bad loss is @NW.
That game also was huge for our freshman, they responded really well after the loss @OSU, and Minnesota's arena was bonkers that night. We handled pressure well that night.
They are, but as Trey Burke said, they don't hang banners for being #1 in January.
Things are going great. A win tonight would have been amazing, but a loss tonight really doesn't hurt Michigan...at all.
I'll take this with a grain of salt and hope down the road the hard work pays of.
My prediction for tonight: Indiana wins by 8, lots of Michigan fans overreact, Wolverines still win Big Ten outright.
Minny has the 10th RPI and 4th SOS. That is a good team.
Thus far, yes. But there are concerns and some flaws that need to be fixed, or else this team isn't going to go very far in the tourney.
They've lost two close games against top 10 teams on the road. It might be premature to say this team can't beat good opponents on the road.
Doesn't matter if Minnesota would be running show in another conference, they aren't in the top tier of the B1G and that means they aren't one of the top teams in basketball. To win a NCAA championship, you're going to have to play the best teams and Minnesota isn't one of them. Indiana and OSU are among the top teams and Michigan didn't beat them. It all comes down to how Michigan plays against the top teams, the rest is gravy.
It's not negativity. It's an overreaction to a loss to a very very good Indiana team on the road. We were an underdog in this game for a reason. It is really really hard to win at Assembly Hall.
It wasn't like we didn't show up. We were down 4 at the half and 4 late in the second half. Simple fact is we didn't finish strong. This game in no way shape or form should have anyone throwing in the towel. This team fought extremely hard all night but Indiana was just a little better tonight at home. I like our chances at home and on a neutral court. We won't face an environment close to what we saw tonight in the tourney.
When would it be a good time to say it then? When Michigan loses to a team like Syracuse or Louisville during the tourny?
Neither did Duke at Miami less than two weeks ago.
+1 and . People comparing tonight to a tourney game are being ridiculous. Most tourney games are played in a venue 1/3 to 2/3's full until the final four.
emily runion @erunion24
IU fans are a close second to Ohio State fans! Arrogant a-holes!!!
You're right, Michigan won't face an environment like during the tourny, but they still won't have the advantage of being in the confines of the Crisler Center.
Road games are extremely tough in the B1G. We haven't played a top B1G team at Crisler yet. It's premature to say we can't hang with them yet, because quite frankly, no "top B1G team" has done well on the road to this point.
You could say the same thing about Indiana on the road this year. The only legit team they've played outside of Assembly Hall is Butler, and you know what happened in that game.

And we beat a solid KState and Pittsburgh teams on neutral courts this year.
I'd wager it's tougher to beat this Indiana team at Assembly Hall than it will be to beat an Louisville or Syracuse in a Regional Final.
So? Duke has at least proved they know what they are doing when they get to the tourny. It's not like Michigan has a history of going far in the tourny under JB like Duke has under Coach K.
Don't get me wrong, this team is much better than the ones JB has had in recent years, but he needs to prove he can win big games away from home before I say this team will go far in the tourny.
The game @MSU will be a huge indicator of what this team will do in tourny, IMO.
They went to OT and only lost by 2 points. Michigan lost by 8 tonight.
Oh and by the way Michigan is 20-2. Every single team in the country has at least 2 losses. Michigan's happen to be against what will be the #1 team in the country and probably a top 10 Ohio State team on the road. I would say Michigan is still right there as one of the best teams in the nation.
So you are more impressed with Indiana who has lost to Butler on a neutral court and at home to Wisconsin than Michigan who lost to Ohio State and Indiana on the road?
