I'm kinda wondering what you expected tonight. You think Michigan was going to take an easy one?
Tonight was a reality check. Tough loss on the road, on a consensus top 5 team period. Good road experience for the freshman. This team needs to learn to take the ball to the hole & make free throws, excluding TB. Trolling will be coming on this board from a bunch of morons, so get ready for that.
Team needs to put this L behind them, come out Tuesday night & stick it to ohio. Remember IU has to come to AA also at year's end. We will see how far along the team has come. Great effort, just fell short.
Not really. GR3 didn't take much shots, and he was non-existent on offense. He played really well on D though. I agree Beilein needs to get him more involved, I've noticed over many games GR3 doesn't get as much shots as I'd like him to.
Agreed on Burke, but I can't really blame him because of the lack of firepower minus Hardaway tonight.
Mcgary is a freshman, and he was matched up against the best center in the country. He didn't play bad all things considered.
Beilein always has success against Tubby. He has his number pretty well.

McGary was able to box out, Zeller had his offensive rebounds when McGary had to provide help defense, clearing the lane for Zeller. Agree about GR3 and Stauskas, though, they haven't performed like they should under pressure. Hopefully, they learn through the season and our ready to go by tourney time.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
Not the point at all. I was asking if @Minny was a big game or not, I wasn't asking about Beilein's success versus Tubby Smith.
Am I disappointed in the loss? No question. But this game will serve as a lesson to the team that they can be beaten and they need to grind it out every game no matter who they play or where it's played.
GRIII had a terrible game tonight though, if he plays like he normally does I think Michigan pulls that game out. Maybe he was sick?
Nik Staukus was confusing as well tonight to me, he seemed to miss every shot he should have hit, but when a guy was about 3 inches from him he nailed it.
@TomLeyden That bad call at 64-60 is killer. #Michigan had possession arrow and could have made it 2 or 1 point game. Instead 67-60.
Winning on the road in the B1G will be tough for any team. I'm sure they'll come out on a mission at Crisler especially after what Oladipo did at the end.
I think you may want to take a night to relax and think about the game afterwards. Then get back to us.
Agreed regrading GRIII. I was impressed with how he handled Watford.
Michigan is losing the games I suspected they would lose at the start of the B10 season. I pegged MSU, OSU, and IU as road loses. I also assumed they would drop 1 home game unexpected - due to the freshman being inexperienced. Michigan is following on cue thus far.
This team is good, but needs to learn to be great. The pattern of 'on-the-road' lethargic play - to start the game - is highly concerning to me. Is it panic time? With 2 losses .... ahh .... no. The key is to 'hold serve' in your building with the previously mentioned three. Start with OSU on Tuesday. Our problem is we need these three to lose a game unexpected, which I hate relying upon someone else to drive my destiny.

Why should he not be able to express his disappointment on this board? Where the hell else is he supposed to go with it?
I hated most of the people on this board during football season because none of you can take negativity towards Michigan sports. Man up. It's a part of life to be criticized. This team isn't perfect, no need to act as if it is.
It was not.
Yep. I said the exact same to a friend of mine.
Agreed. I expected the refs to be much worse overall. However, they made a couple of bad calls and very inconvenient times for us.
I really disagree.
Can't be extremely disappointed after a loss?
Are we just going to move on like everything is fine and dandy?
It has been a trend the past couple years of Michigan playing like crap on big road games. I'm sick of it.
It wasn't. Minnesota really isn't a great team.
I just think he is worked up right now. I don't think he will be so down on this team once the emotion of a tough loss has worn off.
This team had a shot to win this game up to the end against what may be the #1 team in the nation, and Joester is starting talking about early exits from the tourney.
So you expect them to be undefeated at this point still ?
Was that when Olidiwhatever traveled but they called a foul and gave him the bucket?
I never would think a Thursday night road game on BTN would classify as a "big" game.
Now if it was a Saturday Night/Sunday afternoon game nationally televised, then yes, it would have been a big road game.
Ya, that dunk at the end by Oladipo was just classless. Otherwise, both teams played well and UM just couldn't get over the hump. IU had an answer all game when UM threatened to take the lead. Another think that baffles me was Jordan Hulls running around hitting open 3's. WTF. He is the one man you don't leave. Don't know who was supposed to be guarding him, but they continually lost him. It wasn't even drive and kick situations where the help D was needed. He was just spotting up and the guy guarding him was sagging. I don't get that. Anyways...great game and can't wait til revenge on Tuesday and for IU to come to the Crisler. There is no doubt in my mind...that UM and IU are the two best teams in the nation. Congrats IU fans...we'll be waiting.

Watched some of the game and think Oladipo will have a better NBA career than Zeller. Oladipo reminds me of Tony Allen.
Also if Oladipo did what he did at the end of the game in the NBA he would have been put on his ass. Just not called for.
