Michigan takes its 1st place Big Ten standing on the road against a challenging Wisconsin squad. The Wolverines beat the Badgers in their only regular season matchup last season, but that game happened in Ann Arbor, not Madison, where Wisconsin is very difficult to beat.
Tipoff is at noon on ESPN. Preview is linked.
Michigan and Wisconsin. A clash of styles. The Badgers will look to slow the tempo. How will the high-scoring Wolverines react? Another shot at #1 awaits.

Big game today. Need this one if we want to win the Big Ten title outright.
Glad it's an away game I can finally take part in the game thread!
I think we need a huge game from Burke today, and I think we get one from him.
30% from field right now. Wisconsin is 53%.
Anybody else watching?
We really need Jordan Morgan back, I've not been impressed with Horford. Especially thus far this afternoon.
This is not going good at all. Getting out hustled to the ball etc.
Always struggled on the offensive end. Not finishing at the basket whatsoever. Doesn't help that Michigan is getting just about no calls right now.
We are playing their tempo. No use in us driving to the hoops...either they are going to clobber our player or goal tend with no call. They can't miss anything. Horford looks awful down low. At this pace it's gonna be a long game for us.
McGary is playing great lately.
Bielfeldt looks good too.
The refs have blatantly ignored 4 fouls by body contact when we drive in the lane.
Agreed. I was unexcited to see him come in the game, but he has been solid.
Edit: In reference to Rabid's comment about Bielfeldt.

I like him better than Horford in this matchup. Not because I think he's insanely "better" but because I think he's a better offensive player than Horford and Michigan is trying to use the post a lot in this one
We are going to have to find a way to get some more transition looks. Cannot play slow ball all game.
This is really weird to say considering Wiscy is still playing a very slow pace, but this is one of their most up-tempo games I've seen.
It's concerning that Wiscy has been able to drive into the lane fairly easily.
Ugleeeeeeee start but still up by one against these fools.
She looks better....
Burke may have wasted the final possession of the 1st half, but he normally does pretty well with that shot. One thing worth noting. Surprised more teams haven't started preparing for that. In that situation it seems like Burke always attempts that shot. Hard to stop, but still.
Man where is Robinson. No points in the first half. Horford has looked horrible. I can't wait to get another skilled big on this team like Donnal next year. Well at least we are up 1 at the half.
They aren't using all of the shot clock which is unusual. We need to push the transition. Almost looked as if we were resting for the second half. We played unusual lineups and rested starters quite a bit. Content to not push tempo. Perhaps we turn on the jets in the second half.
I just wish he would drive more to the basket on that, especially since teams are playing him for the step back fade shot. A floater in the lane would be a better shot IMO
I agree Robinson has been a non-factor for a long time now. Seems he's only brought up for negative plays. I also can't wait for Donnal, I love big men who can shoot, especially for Beilein's offense.
