Confirmed with Christian that Michigan has offered. Will be talking with him shortly.
His film looked pretty legit...don't know what kind of competition he plays tho.
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
I love that the staff is in on some good looking RBs for the '14 class and already a couple in the '15 class!
Watch all 26 of Christian McCaffreys athletic and academic accomplishments.
Do you think this offer puts us at the top for him?
His Hudl highlights don't work for me. My computer is a dimwit. Who wants to offer a brief breakdown?
He's a true APB. Runs routes and catches it like a WR, great elusiveness and good speed. Not overly powerful, may struggle between the tackles in college.
Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if UM has talked about playing WR to him.
Kid sees the field, lets plays develop, and has some shiftiness - not sure the elevel of competition he plays though. Even did a McGugffiesque hurdle.
A la Sam McGuffie?
You could say they are similar, although McCaffery looks to be bigger, and is possibly still growing, seeing as his dad is 6'5"
I think he would be a great college RB in a spread offense. Especially one that likes to use its RB in the passing game.
One thing that i did absolutely love about him at RB is that he gets up field in a hurry. He is very elusive but doesn't spend a lot of time dancing in the backfield. In my opinion, that gives him a chance to be a good back in a pro style O.
I agree. Kid would work great in the z position or out the back field. I don't see him as a RB in our offense.
Bigger fan of Shai McKenzie
I love McCaffery as a WR for us, but as a RB he might not be the best fit.
While I like McKenzie, I'm a bigger fan of Hood, Mixon, and Hillman for the traditional bigger RB.
Agree as a slot WR, but he doesn't fit the last two years of recruiting at RB.
