As an Alabama fan, I am curious how you guys feel about the National Championship game matchup? Since you guys were the only team to play both, curious how you feel these two teams stack up? Alabama? Or Notre Dame? And why?
By the way good luck in your bowl matchup. Have to admit I got to meet a number of Michigan fans in Dallas and were impressed with how classy you guys were.
I feel Alabama wins, but I will be rooting for the Irish.
Don't care either way to much about who wins though.
Go Blue and Go Titans!
We got to face the top 3 teams in the AP poll. We know firsthand that two of those games were close and one was not. Alabama is a much better team than ND (and OSU).
Their offense doesn't stand a chance. Their defense has a great DL and LBs so that could help them against your great running game, but I think you'll wear them down on the ground with Yeldon and Lacy.
24-3 Alabama wins.
Michigan outplayed Notre Dame and gave the game away. Alabama dominated Michigan.
I'm thinking Alabama by a couple touchdowns.
28-6. Bama rolls!
Yeah, I don't see ND putting up a ton of points on Alabama. Plus Saban has what, 6 weeks to prepare for Everett Golson? I'll say Alabama's defense is superior to ND's, and Alabama's offense is superior by a substantial amount. I just think Alabama will wear ND down by stringing together several long drives, and play-action will be a beeyatch to defend.
I'm thinking 28-10ish.
when they're not playing Michigan, I'm in awe watching the Lacy/Yeldon combo.
Alabama wins by 10 or more.
While ND has talent on offense, the unit can be very inconsistent in both running and passing. I don't think they will be able to move the ball with any consistency against you guys.
ND's defense is very good, but there are certainly areas where you can attack them. There big strength is DL + Teo, with your OL I think you guys should be able to stop the DL and probably push them around some. They don't have anybody that can matchup with Amari Cooper, so if McCarron is on his game, he should be able to take advantage of that matchup.

We played ND and OSU at their homes, and played Bama on a neutral field. I don't think there is a real comparison. I think ND holds close early, and then Lacy pounds them into submission.
I would be surprised if ND scores 20 points on that defense.
I will be rooting for ND but I cannot see their offense breaking double digits. They will have to hope for turnovers, broken plays, kickoff/punt return. The luck of the Irish better be with them in spades because Nick Saban coached FB teams don't beat themselves. I think their D can hold up for a bit but will eventually break when the O starts going 3 and out.
Bama 31 - ND 6
Give Saban more than a week to prepare for someone and he comes up with great game plans. Just look at our game and last year's NC game for evidence.
I think ND's defense can keep it close in the beginning but will begin to wear down after a while. Golson is good but he is not Manziel.
IMO 35-10 Alabama.

I don't think the Bama defense is as good as we thought at the beginning of the season. I think they are vulnerable. I think ND gets a couple lucky plays, especially in the first half.
35-14 Bama. ND will get crushed. They should hope for 10+ turnovers. That might give them a shot.
My perspective is congrats to Alabama on their second national title in two years.
Thanks guys for the informed posts. This has really been a great year to be a 'Bama fan and playing two historically significant college football teams like Michgan and Notre Dame only makes it that much special.
For what it's worth, if Alabama does not turn the ball over I feel we win by at least two touchdowns.
Just because no one else thinks ND will win I'll say ND 24-Bama 17. Personally I dislike both teams for the same reasons. Bama, because they have been so good lately. ND, because they were that good when I was a kid. So, whoever wins I will not like it but I will cheer for ND only because of all the success of Bama and the SEC recently.
I think Bama wins, and I don't think it's close. ND has used up its share of luck, and the team that barely squeaked past Pitt and BC, required the refs' help to beat Stanford, and only beat us by 7 despite the worst game of Denard's career will not be trading punches with Alabama.
I think using the Michigan games against these schools to compare is silly. I think Notre Dame is a much better team than they were when Michigan played them. Now with that said Bama is going to crush ND.
I think Bama wore down a bit towards the end of the season. How many losses would ND have playing an SEC schedule... 2 or 3? Saban is going to have over a month to gameplan and his team will be fresh. It's game over. I want to see ND do well but realistically they are going to be over matched. Bama is a dynasty and ND is just another casualty.

ND would probably have 5 loses if playing in the SEC....for various reasons
