Once again I can't believe the lack of hustle. They continuously get beat to loose balls
Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit i see....
Anybody bitching about the refs needs to check themselves. I don't care if they would've shot 40 more FTs than us, that defensive effort was absolutely pathetic and they deserved to lose the game.
I hope Beilein can find a way to get through to these kids. Because, it's becoming clear that they have no interest in playing hard on the defensive end of the floor.
thats what would have happened had we lost to a team like this when i was in high school. Someone, anyone sack up and show a pulse on this team. Trey's a great player but just seems like he's cool with it. If i was him, chairs would be broken, shit would be going down in the locker room.
WTF did Robinson try to go up and under and miss a lay up?! Take it up strong, it's either an three point play or a foul. MENTALITY, they don't have it.
Starts from the top guy our coach. He needs to get a fire under his ass before this team gets eliminated in the first round of the tournament two years in a row.

We lost the game when it got tight. I knew it was over. They could have karate kicked us in the face and we weren't gonna get a call. They couldn't miss. How many times tonight did I hear "that guys been struggling in conference play from three"...-and then boom I'm Larry effing Bird tonight. No hustle, no grit. Too many NBA aspirations and "pretty" plays. Offense only players. Too many young people playing critical minutes. On and on and on. I'd like to say this will wake em up but EL didn't so this won't either. Too late in the season. Went from controlling our destiny to possibly finishing 11-7 or 10-8.
The refs had nothing to do with it. They gave up 80+ to Penn St.
I have to get off here until I know the fate of the game Sunday. I have nothing good to say or anything contribute positive so I'm out. Mods you can delete my earlier posts I'm just in hate mode right now at an App State level.
First round loss in the tourney?
And get the eff out with that "we on" crap, swagger only means something if you back it up. That's what I hate about all this swagger crap these days, everyone acting like being a dickhead who thinks he's great is worth crap on its own, no wonder every engineering and science school is full of kids from China and India if our kids think that way.
The officiating was awful, particularly early, but we still had a 15 point lead halfway through the second half. We are so much better than PSU we easily should have been able to overcome the bad calls. We let this one get away. Marshall was wide open in the same place right at the top of the key all night. Morgan missed FTs. We took bad shots down the stretch. Robinson missed a key layup right at the end. This loss is on us.
There's no point in arguing about which part of the game lost it for us. We collapsed again. Our defense is so atrocious, no heart. Even knowing we have a bad defense, our offense went cold when we were up double digits and couldn't at least keep pace.

true Lex. I can flow with that. Total BS , blame goes to every one.
Agree with every word.
I am not sure what the issue is with understanding our situation. We have a young team that hit the wall 6 or so games ago. They are tired. Easy to see.

Talent is not missing, heart is. Good luck getting these guys to recover from this one Beilein. I'd rather see constant subbing and players going until they can't breathe and then sub again then to watch this gliding, soft ass pretty crap. How's them put back flushes and ankle breakers look now boys? Lets get cocky and running up and down the court pounding our chest or hold three fingers up after a three instead of divin for loose balls and crashing the boards. Pathetic.
Im done watching this crap this team has quite so why wast my time watching this garbage. Its like watching the old Lloyd Carr teams of the past they had all the talent in the world but no HEART they always were Uninspired Unmotivated. Thank god we have Brady Hoke now You will never see his team Qutie !!!!!
They basically had two weeks off and came out looking "tired" like they did before. These guys aren't tired, these guys aren't properly motivated.
We have a very young team and young players often struggle on D. Stauskas, Robinson and McGary all need tons of work on their D but that should not surprise anyone ... they're freshmen. And we've managed to beat some pretty good teams this year with our young, defensively challenged team. People need to chill.
It seems every time something has been on the line, the team has collapsed. The goddamn lazy passes, not hustling back, collapsing the paint while leaving a shooter open on the 3 pt line.....it's disgusting.
It's time to put a foot in the ass of some of these players. Playing defense requires heart and some manhood, which we seem to be severely lacking.

It is just basketball, but we all feel passionate about our team. I get that they are freshman but we should not have completely blown this game. Why people continue to get frustrated is because as the season has worn on there have been no signs of improving. The team is not getting better. We lost to a couple good teams on the road; we expected that. We got destroyed by MSU on the road; and now we gimme PSU their first conference win of the year.
Everyone has been kissing these guys asses all year long talking about how great they are and how most of them should leave for the NBA. Looks like they ate that stuff up. Beilein has just been awful he gives those guys way too much freedom out there.
Tired is not just physical but mental as well.
The play before Beilein ripped into Stauskas was indicative of the whole game.
Morgan came to trap the ball off of the high screen. Morgan allowed the guy to not only escape the trap, but gave him a clear path to the hoop for a layup, and Stauskas wasn't watching the ball, so he couldn't slide down to close off the baseline in time.
I don't think anybody said the loss was on the refs. In fact, most of us took issue with the refs when Michigan had a solid 10-15 point lead. After that point, Michigan had no business losing the game regardless of the refs. They lost due to poor defense and mental breakdowns.
A post that wasn't needed. Most of the posts are harsh and judgemental of their own team. If anything you just gave them a reason to galvanize. Their frustration is high. Revel in that if you must.
