The guy said he is coming back. Why wouldn't you believe him?
You may want to look up what a "conspiracy theory" is, exactly.
And also try re-reading my post. Once again: I DO expect McGary to return next year. He should, and he has now gone public saying he will.
And once again, Darius Morris did the same thing. He wasn't ready for the NBA, said he was coming back, and ended up changing his mind.
Do I think McGary will change his mind like Morris did? No, I do not. But it's not out of the realm of possibility. There's nothing binding about releasing a statement saying you're coming back. People change their minds. It happens.
Great now we just have to get Hardaway and Robinson to come back. Would love to see Burke come back, but I don't think that will happen.
He was never leaving. Next year should be the ballz but I am still focusing on the FF.
I am not surprised at all. I think McGary and Robinson will both stay this year even though Robinson would be a lottery pick. But i think Hardaway and Trey are both gone...i do think both could use one more year though to be fully NBA ready
Did you see Hardaways piss poor game agianst florida last weekedn? If he plans on getting drafted, he better earn himself some big bucks by being key to us winning the natty
Unless Tim Hardaway Sr. convinces the Miami Heat to use a late 1st round pick on his son, I don't see Hardaway Jr. being drafted in the 1st round because he is still inconsistent and streaky.
But Hardaway Jr. can work his way into this year's 1st round if he plays a huge role in leading Michigan to a National Championship which culminates with a Final Four MOP award.

Ive been wondering about the Hardaway/Heat connection. Kind of a conflict of interests. Like reffering a friend for a job. You hope he doesn't make you look bad. I think THJ needs to develop a more consistent jumpshot

i strongly think Hardaway needs another year, but he is our oldest starter and I just get the feeling he wants to take the next step, although I think if we lose in the final four and dont win it all there is a small chance everybody comes back. When I look at Trey and Hardaway during games, they have such a strong desire to win. They both really want to win and they will not have a better chance than next year with our younger guys maturing and our young studs coming in too. Burke insists that he hasnt made up his mind and that whether they win this year or not will be a big factor in his decision
Interesting comment on Burke not having his mind made up. Given the choice I'd take the NC over him returning, but I think he is gone regardless. Hardaway is a different story...It may be how he is being used, but on the defensive end of the floor he has been weak, and I think he has taken a step backwards towards the end of the year...he's got to be much better than he's shown to get any playing time in the NBA or even make a cut. Another year of hard work in college could make the difference for him.
Burke is the only NBA ready guy on UM's team right now. But he's leaving unless he pulls a Lewan which is unlikely. Derrick Walton will be just fine in that roll...not worried. GRIII needs to be able to create his own shot and put some meat on him. THJ just needs to play better all around and more consistently. None of UM's players are great defenders except maybe Burke at times and McGary occasionally. They really all should come back because at this point, they could all get buried in the NBA or end up oversees.
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
Looking at Darius and Trey, it seems Belein's system is setup for PG success. I'm sure Walton will be fine
I mean dont get me wrong im prolly 90% sure Burke is gone. I am saying there is a chance if he is left with a salty taste in his mouth from a loss. Hardaway im like 60% sure he is leaving even though he is not ready, i really hope he doesnt and I just cant see GRIII leaving this year even though he could potentially go the highest out of all 3 of these guys because of his potential. the NBA wants to take these guys early and mold them they way they want to mold them
100% with you and Sir Charles and Woody also.
