please to be staying, kind sirs
I'm thinking if it's at the same time it has to be good news based off the last few days right?
Ya if they both leave we'll be hurtin' this upcoming year but be fine after that
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
Oh ... It just got real.
Will there be a link or will it be televised?

I'm thinking they're either both staying or both leaving...
So it's basically high stakes. 2-0 or 0-2.

Balas and Nesbitt say they're both staying

How reliable is this?
I am thinking the timing bodes well. Early on, they seemed to be both likely to come back. If they were torn about it, why decide now (deadline is 10 days away). Also, seems like if they were going, they would probably each have a separate PC (for their moment). Of course that's 100% speculation on my part.
I think it's the right decision. While they both are very talented, both have definite holes in their games (McG - post moves and consistency)(GRIII - more assertive, stronger and mid-range game).
My addiction to Michigan combined with my powers of deduction compel me to predict... they are staying.
- McGary tweeting "Decisions, decisions.." this morning was misidrection to scare the fans.
- They weren't both undecided, then decided a few hours after Hardaway announced and asked the coaches to immediately setup a press conference.
- They wanted Hardaway to have his spotlight without any distraction.
- Announcements about going pro is somewhat down news for fans, so quickly combat the Hardaway announcement with a positive presser that leaves fans really excited about next year and gives the two returning potential stars their time in the spotlight.
I try to stay pretty calm on these matters, but feel pretty strongly they are staying, similar to thinking Lewan was staying. I may have to go out and buy an athletic supporter before 4:30 because if I'm wrong this is the first news that will really feel like a kick to the nuts.

I agree. I think the timing bodes well for Michigan. I've had a feeling that if they were declaring for the NBA it wouldn't be this soon. I don't think having their presser together or not has any effect. They are good friends and were likely making the same decision regardless, as aside from being friends, they are both in very similar positions and received congruent advice from whoever they spoke to.
At the same time, maybe they decided to go pro and want to let the program know early so that Beilein can put more efforts into filling out the 2013 class. A "silent verbal" or silent decision of sorts wouldn't last long, and they know that. If these kids have decided and have informed the coaches, it wouldn't take long for word to spread.
At this point I'm just and

This. Exactly how I feel about the McGary tweet. Just a dick move if he puts that out as his twitter status (already knowing his decision) and doesn't stay IMO.
There is no chance they are leaving. They're definitely going to stay. I have no evidence or reason to back up my assertion besides hoping that being overly optimistic and positive will somehow induce them to stay for one more year.

I think a dual announcement definitely bodes well for Michigan.
Being reported by cbssports that they will be returning.
Jeff Goodman @GoodmanCBS 1m
Mitch McGary and Glenn Robinson III are both returning to Michigan, sources told CBSSports
Michigan may have lost Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr., but the Wolverines are bringing back Mitch McGary and Glenn Robinson III, sources told CBSSports.com.
Here's the link:
Huge news. Harris is coming back for the Spartans, so we need as many weapons as possible back.
A little caution if you're following along on twitter: Some reputable Michigan beat writers are relaying a "report" from CBS writer, and probably the best college basketball insider in the biz, Jeff Goodman that they're both staying. But Goodman clearly stated that he was not reporting anything but simply saying what his gut was telling him. The Michigan writers (Baumgardner from Mlive and Burkhardt from umhoops) seemed to have jumped the gun a bit but I'd say the tweet from Goodman is still very good news.
Edit: Disregard. As seen in the posts above Goodman is now reporting that they're both staying. Here is the tweet I saw that prompted my post.
@GoodmanCBS: Gut: Staying. RT @TeddyGreenstein: Prediction. RT @GoodmanCBS: Mitch McGary and Glenn Robinson III both announcing decisions today at 4:30.

I gotta say I think all the guys involved for Michigan made the right decision. Burke and Hardaway by leaving and McGary and Robinson by staying. Now that we hopefully know the whole team we'll have next year anyone wanna take a stab at the lineup? Id say the consensus should be: PG Walton, G Irvin, G Stauskas, F Robinson III, C McGary. Would bring LeVert, Albrecht, Morgan, Horford, and Donnal off the bench. Very young, very talented squad.
I want Spike to hold a press conference to announce that he's staying. I would laugh.
That would be great.
Young, but not very young. Not as young as our team this past year. We'll have only two freshman likely playing a lot of minutes (Walton and Ivrin), but still won't be as high usage considering the sophomore bench players we'll have this year like Spike and Levert. We will not have 5 freshman on the floor at one time like we were doing in the Final Four at times this year. Hopefully the D can vastly improve with the experience.

Going to be just as young and inexperienced next year (not that it mattered). Love that we are recruiting talent that is good enough to leave for the NBA but look forward to having a team with junior and senior starters.
