247Sports recruiting analysts like his size and ball skills.

What would a speed rank of 7, and hands rank of 8 give him an overall raking of? I think those two simple increases are justified.
Well better yet you can increase his size from 8 to 9.
Ways is 6'4" and Harris is 6'4". But the analysts like Harris' hieght a 9 and Ways is an 8?
Better yet, the analysts only rate Bunting's height an 8, yet he's 6'7". Now you could say its because he's a TE, but I don't know any 6'8" TEs. I think Buntings a 10.
Bunting is only 210 lbs though, makes sense. Dunno about Harris' weight but 195 seems pretty good.
my exact thoughts.
but yeah, no idea how Harris is 6'4"/180 and gets a 9 in size while Ways is 6'4"/195 and gets an 8...seems inconsistent
Ways isn't 6-4.
Also, you guys take these skill rankings way too literally. Same thing with the 'hot/warm/cold' in a players profile.
They are just trying to give you guys an idea of what areas a player is good and what areas a player needs work.
I have no idea how tall Ways is actually, but he's listed at 6'4" 195 on 247, so it makes sense that that's the measurement they would use in their skills eval.
Like, I don't expect a lot of these skill evals to be perfectly scientific and accurate like its the ratings on a video game or something. Even something like "speed" seems like it has wiggle room, because you would account for positional differences and stuff like that. But size? That seems like it should be pretty straight forward
Drake and Ways have very similar body types. There really isn't a reason for their size rating to be different.
Also as someone else pointed out.. size includes both height and weight.
I concur. Size is far far less subjective than the other evals and there is no way they can say ways is 8 if they list him at 6'4" while Harris is a 9. My point in bringing it up was only to make fun of how random and subjective the evals could be.
lol at this , the guy is going to be better than harris
A little concerned about Ways, another site had a report up from someone who actually saw him play, not just highlights, and apparently he drops too many balls. Makes some spectacular catches but drops too many easy ones. You can say that is fixable but sometimes it isnt. Just hope this doesnt cost us Williams. No question he has a ton of upside though.
Ways hasn't even scratched the surface of his potential yet. This will be the first year he concentrates solely on football. I'd expect some major improvement.
Agreed, he'll help this team in moe ways than one.
