Having Taco's athleticism at only 7 is laughable IMO.
I believe Rice ran around 4.72 in the 40. I just mentioned Rice because it seems people get hung up on how fast someone is. Rice did play with some great QB's but he also made them great.
I agree. His athleticism should've been ranked as a 9.
IMO, Taco Charlton and Lorenzo Carter (2014 SDE out of Georgia) share a number of similarities. Carter's athleticism is ranked a 10. (I bet it had partially something to do with the dunk video.) But the counter argument is that Charlton has an incredible vertical as well. (See attached image.)Gerry Hamilton and CMXI had a light, good-natured exchange about this.
Frankly, don't get hung up on the ratings. (I have to occasionally remind myself of this as well.) There will be some inconsistencies/inaccuracies (i.e. Shane's arm strength as a 8.)
Just remember that these rating will ultimately be meaningless on the gridiron. These kids will get a chance to prove themselves on the field.

Yeah, it goes both ways to a certain degree, but I mean he's out there with Montana and Young, compared to someone like Sanchez and Tebow. Even when he left and went to Oak he had Rich Gannon, who was no slouch. He was basically in a perfect storm his entire career, but I'm sure as you said, some yards or TD's was because of him. He definitely played the game faster than his 40 time showed though.
