I like the first two pick’s, and Ace and Gragg in the 6th and 7th.
But I can’t see Cyprian falling out of the first, or Greene or Washington falling that far. I think Knile Davis is going to go a lot higher than people expect/realize was well. Someone is going to take a chance on him and hope they get the 2010 version and not the 2012.
This would be my ideal mock as of today
1. Ezekiel Ansah DE BYU
2. Menelik Watson OT FSU
3. Darius Slay CB Miss St
4. Chris Faulk G/T LSU
5. Courtney Gardner WR Sierra CC
6. Vince Williams OLB FSU
7. Nickell Robey CB USC
7. Brad Wing P LSU

Ansah and Watson scare me, they seem to have very high upside but also very high possibilities of being busts. Also, wasn't it just released today that Slay had a knee injury that he was hiding from scouts?
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
I’m now expecting Fisher to be gone by 5 and I don’t want them to trade up for him. Oakland could possibly have trade worked out to move down, and Philadelphia has a big need at RT which is Vick’s blind side. Watson would scare me if they were considering picking him in the middle of the first but in the second if he’s there he would be without a doubt the BPA.
I don’t think he was hiding it, it’s just now coming out publicly. It’s similar to what’s been happening to Dee Milliner all this week.
Mississippi State cornerback Darius Slay reportedly has a torn meniscus in his right knee, but the borderline first-round pick doesns a serious problem.
My shot at a Lion's mock.
1. Eric Fisher, LT
2. Bjoern Werner, DE(not sure how possible this is, sounds like he's being viewed as a late 1st round pick)
3. Markus Wheaton, WR
4. Travis Kelce, TE
5. Tony Jefferson, S
6. David Quessenberry, OG/C
7. Ace Sanders, Returner
7. Gerald Hodges, OLB
Nope...Cyprien is late 1st/early 2nd and Greene is projected 3rd. Washington may be possible, but with the Vikes having Det's 105 pick, he's unlikely to fall much further. If Cyrpien keeps falling I'll personally call Shanahan to move up and grab him, although the secondary is deep in this years draft. Redskins are projected to take Banks at 51, so I can live with that if it plays out this way. The draft always has crazy twist and turns, so you really never know what can happen...Even without the 'Skins having a first round pick, I'm still looking forward and tuning in all night.
I like it. I’m interested to see if Quessenberry can make the transition to center, if he can he would be a steal IMO.
The only pick I don’t like would be Wheaton in the 3rd. I like him as a prospect but I would prefer a bigger WR, and I think he’s going to be at his best in the slot. I’m not ready to give up on Broyles yet.
Not a roster situation, but this happened:
Former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders has been named to the cover of Madden 25 after beating Adrian Peterson in the cover vote.
I understand the preference for a bigger WR. Would be nice, but I think Wheaton would be an awesome X in our offense opposite of Calvin working the vertical routes, 9's, posts, etc(Wheaton kind of reminds me of M Wallace). Keep Broyles in the slot. I'm definitely not giving up on Broyles, he was a steal in last year's draft imo. I love Broyles.
Fisher going #1 and heard Lions like Cooper, G, from UNC
Was kind of hoping they would trade him to a 3-4 team sooner or later. I liked him at OU, but I think his best fit is going to be as a thumper in a 3-4.
Detroit Lions defensive end Ronnell Lewis was reportedly arrested over the weekend.
Andy is trolling IMO. and that’s a huge smokescreen. Cooper would have to play C in a MBS. I think he could definitely do it but no one draft’s C’s in the top 5.
I really hope they don’t trade up.
I find it funny how everyone thinks teams like the Raiders and Jaguars are going to draft RT’s in the top 5. I understand BPA but still, that would be incredibly stupid.
I'm sure Lions do like Cooper, but not at 5 rather in a trade down... I wouldn't mind walking out of this draft day one with a trade down to net Cooper, and then a trade back into the first to land Werner...
With our second rounder, a solid 4-3 DE is Damontre Moore.
Will he still be there?
I'd be happy with any of these 5:
I don't know why I believe Mike Mayock when he talks, but I do, and he gave some great insight on Lane Johnson potentially having the highest ceiling as an OT in the draft. I also think Warmack is a safe pick to spend that much money on, and Milliner would upgrade the secondary. All of those 5 I think are production picks that would be low-floor, high-ceiling guys.
Even if they traded back for him I still don’t think I would be a fan of it. He’s a great prospect but he’s just not a fit at G, and I don’t value C’s that much. You can get by with a meh one.
He should be.
Disagree, to me he has pro bowl guard written all over him. His body control, and ability to move in space is unique for a big man. Warmack only has 6 lbs on him I believe...
Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young found himself back in the news after being arrested twice in a 15-hour span in Southern California. Is his NFL career over?
He was a solid player for the Bear’s. Don’t really understand the signing though since Jason Jones is a very similar player.
After spending months on the free-agent market, former Bears defensive end Israel Idonije reportedly has signed a deal with Detroit.
Leshoure has been working 2nd in RB rotation today. Joique Bell did first 2 days of camp, most of spring
It looks like Bell is going to end up being the #2 back.
