according to U-M's twitter it happened yesterday in practice. Very unfortunate for him.
Wow, that is a massive blow.

Not a good start to the spring!!
This is not good.
Ouch! I wish him a speedy recovery.
F**K!!!!! Cam Gordon gonna have to come up big. Time for the young dudes to mature and step up. I know it hurts guys, buy we do have capable replacements and if its any position that we have a lot of talent and depth its LB. Get well soon Lil Clay Matthews

Huge Loss. But at the same time, it's next man up. Hopefully we can get someone to emerge the same way Jake Ryan did.
2nd straight year we've had a torn ACL to the best player at a certain position. Last year it was Countess in the Alabama game, and now this.
Guess the coaches knew what they were doing in regards to stocking up on linebackers
We have depth overall at LB, but SLB depth is a little different. Not sure who is behind cam. Maybe Morgan gets some reps there?
Ringer? I liked him in the spring game a lot last year.
ACL's are straight bullshit, Especially when they are happening to your best players.
Not to mention Bryant and wormley.
Cam Gordon and RJS are going to get a lot of attention this Spring. And Gedeon in the late summer when camp starts.
Roy Manning.. welcome to the fire..
Edit: My other immediate thought is Frank Clark might get some reps. Athletic enough to cover and definitely one of our best pass rushers.

Perhaps. I thought they liked him at will too. Can't hurt to see what he can do at the point of attack.
I don't know how Bolden would play manning the Sam spot, but the way they used Jake in space. I think Bolden might be the best guy to move out there with his athleticism. Just get the 3 best on the field as long as Bolden can make plays in space, which I think he can. James Ross, Morgan, and Bolden. That should be the 3 LBS.
You think Gedeon will be ready?
Sorry double post

I don't think so. I think he's a year away.
Wtf, Iowa Angry Running Back Hating God has a brother - Michigan Angry Anterior Cruciate Ligament Hating God?
Anyone have a worst-case/best-case scenario rehab timeline (I'm sure that's contingent on how much "ancillary" damage was done)?
Seems like a lot of our guys keep getting injured pretty bad during practice. Is that a common thing, or are we just on a bad luck streak?
As we keep building depth it will be less magnified
