Lol we would feel the opposite along with every other college football recruiting analyst, and college football program! You are delusional if you believe that.
It's not that crazy is it? Would you take C. Robinson or Peppers for your class? I mean Robinson is ranked higher in both 24/7 and the composite rankings. I'd bet you want Peppers because you need CBs more than OL.
For OSU I would rather us upgrade our piss poor LB group than our decent DB group. I may trade them both for the best OT as we are in even worse shape there.
i understand it whiskers. Peppers is the better player and prospect but you NEED good linebackers over good DB's.
Haha thanks. That's exactly what I was trying to say. All things being equal I'd take Peppers no doubt. Reality is top teams take "less talented" players at positions of need every year to help fill needs. I think it was Pocic? who you guys passed on last year for other players? He may have been ranked higher but other players become more valuable at positions of need.
Absolutely. tOSU already has a solid defensive backfield, and don't NEED guys back there.
Well hell we will take him then. Thanks Ohio haha

i cant see peppers committing before he visits stanford...
ya I'm thinking he commits as soon as he leaves Stanford. He calls Hoke and its a done deal
Absolutely. And I think Ohio would take him also, he never said they wouldn't.
Just said that he would rather have Raekwon McMillan as he is at a greater position of need.
Kinda like Michigan fans would have rather had Drake Harris over pretty much anyone we were recruiting, despite having guys ranked higher.
Um .... where have u been all day? :). Peppers and JBB are Maize and Blue in June. Done deal.

Interesting that "Kwon" seems like your #1 player this year, even though you got uber-all american 5* Mike Mitchell last year....and wanting Kwon more than Peppers because you already have good young DB's is somewhat of a contradiction, because you also procured good young LB's last cycle, so to me this rationalization is a little specious.

I think it is because some of our young DBs have shown potential already.
Armani Reeves 96 rating is pushing for a starting spot as a sophomore.
De'van Bogard 95 rating depending how he bounces back from injury will be the starting STAR as a sophomore.
Camren Williams, Jamal Marcus, David Perkins all rated 94 LBs coming out of HS but Marcus has moved to DE and the other two are more OLB. Neither have been overly impressive so far.
Eli Apple 96 rating and looking really good after only a few months in the program. I believe it was Alex who said he could be the other starter by seasons end.
Cameron Burrows 95 rating has looked OK but not as good as Apple. I think he ends up at S.
Vonn Bell 98 rating not enrolled yet so jury still out.
Gareon Conley 94 rating not enrolled yet.
Trey Johnson and Mike Mitchell 94 rated ILB but not enrolled so jury still out.
Overall I think the coaches feel more confident in the DBs than LBs. Look to only be taking 2 CBs but as many as 4-5 LBs.
