I'm talking directly about TheWolverine.com. Their coverage of recruiting is horrendous. They've been bad ever since Josh Helmholdt left for a bigger job at Rivals. IMO, they're running 4th behind 247, ESPN, and Scout.
The only time a recruiting story is broken (not just writing articles with bland quotes) on that site it is because Helmholdt threw them a bone and came on their board. Their recruiting guy has zero sources. Can't wait for my subscription to expire.

Agree. Everything you mention is spot on. I'd also add that their writers are quite arrogant and flippant in their treatment of subscribers. I don't know if that attitude comes from having been around so long, or what, but it is totally inappropriate given that they are running 4th as you mentioned.
I don't agree that Rivals is behind ESPN. ESPN is useful for longer-form profiles and things of that nature, but is just godawful in terms of putting out recruiting content.
Ya I cancelled my membership. I was very disappointed after Josh left. Tim barely adds any info. If he does have info it's usually stuff that's already been said here or on twitter. 24/7 is by the best site for info and its not even close! He is also at times very short and rude to people that pay for him to have that job.
ESPN is surprisingly good for info, simply because they have TomVH who is extremely well connected, but he is the only good thing about ESPN's recruiting coverage. It's unfortunate because their forums are miserable and their posters are even worse.
247 definitely the best. I keep my Rivals subscription mostly for two things at this point: they have the best/most complete coverage of the camp circuit, and they have The Ticker, which seems like it would be really easy to replicate but no other site does at this point.
I think Rivals also has better team info, which is why I still have my subscription. But even that is not going to be enough for me to renew when my current subscription ends.
The only good news is when Jim Stefani comes on and drops a wealth of names to watch out for... Schofields dad and Heinenger sometimes post over there as well... Balas seems like the head over their and he is an egomaniacal douche.

Agree with everything you just said.
The Wolverine is good for bball recruiting an that's about it. Balas can be an ass sometimes, but for my money Tom Beaver is the worst on Go Blue Wolverine. Thanks god he is leaving that service. He went a little crazy and senile after he left The Wolverine.
Sam Webb and the new crew over their are good..as of course is the boys here at 247.
Beaver is leaving?
I want to cancel my scout sub but I have to call them and I usually have school when they're open...pain in the butt.
No, he's not leaving. He just got demoted and is no longer in charge. Sam Webb will be in charge.
Has there been an update(on this board) on how Hands AU visit went?

Like Rothstein articles the most over at ESPN. Also feel like TomVH is always complaining about how much work his job is.
there's a link in the 2014 thread now
It's also funny how Beaver cut his info cut off by Sam. I think they don't like each other now. The only thing Beaver can contribute to that board is spelling errors.
When Steve started here at 24/7 it was easy choice to sign up here ..He has really given this site some spark .His free site i found was just so much more informative then the pay sites ( i go to UMHoops for most of my basketball coverage ) .. I like the site matt pargoff has started also but it's nice to know if i need to find a good place to eat in AA i go to the rivals site and get recommendations
