Hopefully the 6 days off allowed the team to get it together. Illinois has been playing a lot better lately, so this'll be fun to watch.
Its time to make a f'n statement & beat this team by 15+
Im growing tired of the lackluster defense. & I'd also like to see some actual plays ran on offense, especially for Hardaway.
Live tempo-based stats for Michigan/Illinois...
I'd like to see the team getting out on fastbreaks and show rotation on defense. I think those keys can provide a 15 point win.
Where all the recruits sitting at?
Stellar defense so far.
Defense optional again I see
Just gotta get out on the shooters. They're not getting beat off the dribble and they're rebounding well so far which have been the main problems. The stagnant offense is really what's hurting us and has been really for some time. Burke and Stauskas are the only ones who look to attack. The others just go through the motions of the offense and look for their open outside jumpers.
Dan Dakich is an official Michigan hater. Illinois ahead of Michigan? Absurd.
Absurd? I know it's early in the game, but Illinois is up 8 in Ann Arbor right now.
Yes, absurd. For one, there's 32 minutes left in this game. Second, we beat them by 14 on their floor in a game that wasn't even that close. They're on a nice win streak, but this is still a team that lost to Northwestern at home. Michigan hasn't lost a game to a team outside the top 25 all year and besides the Wisconsin buzzer beater, hasn't lost to a team outside the top 10.
Everyone is having difficulty catching/holding on to the ball.
Brady Hoke on the Michigan sideline getting rowdy on that out of bounds call
Michigan is asleep out here. Lazy passes, lazy transition D, lazy box outs. This team has consistently come out with poor effort.
I don't even know what to say about this team anymore. I'll be real surprised to make it out of the 2nd rd of the tournament this year
These turnovers are unforced. The team is showing no concentration.
Another first half where the team is being out hustled, no trip to the f.throw line, dumb turnovers. Why make things so darn complicated.
Why do they get beat for every loose ball? Terrible hustle, failing to box out, bad passes
Much better stretch here. This team desperately needs to get out and run like we did early in the year. It opens up everything
Spike and Jordan Morgan are playing with heart.
Agreed. Dakich kinda touched on it but Morgan looks much better than he has since the injury. I think him being hurt had a ton to do with the defensive struggles. He plugs a lot of holes on the back line and does a great job denying the post.
McGary gambles far too much on defense. He needs to pick his spots.
All I want Beilein to do is run a set play for Stauskas. Hasn't happened probably all year but I keep hoping
Michigan has had some pretty awful luck with buzzer beaters this month.
