Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Tressel was the "instructor" but never taught anything. Didn't he have guys like John Cooper, Earl Bruce and others come in to "teach" the class. Tressel would be there briefly the first day and then have a grad student take care of the rest.
I'm pretty sure I saw this discussed on an OSU board after GameDay did a piece on "Tressel Ball" a few years ago.
Everything that I heard (which wasn't a whole lot mind you) was that he taught the class but would have past coaches (mostly Bruce/Cooper) come in and talk about their own coaching philosophies. From what I know he was there during every class in the Fall.
This is true. He out sourced the Coaching one day to Rich Rod. No one showed up.
You're so clever...
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
Ohio State fans just need to realize they have mediocre academics, while Michigan is consistently rated as a Top-15 college. Michigan fans will always make jokes about what goes on in the classroom down in Columbus. It amazes me when Ohio State fans try the same.
I'm not sure "consistently" means what you think it means. Or maybe #28 is the new #15?
I'd take that class if I could. I hate Coach Urbs but that would be awesome.
How about #14?
See the US News ranking for the top universities in the world. The World's Best Universities list includes schools from the USA, Canada, Asia, Europe, and more.
That's still not #15, though, so we lose.
How about #18 to even it out?
The Top 400 World University Rankings published by Times Higher Education. Official 2011-2012 results.
Or #12 by reputation?
Top Universities by Reputation 2012 published by Times Higher Education. Official 2012 results.
It evens out to #16 so we lose again, damn.
I like the #12 better
And yet in all of these lists, osu is ranked much lower.
I don't believe I was positioning OSU as a consistently rated Top-15 college. And I simply pulled the Top 3 search results for college rankings off Google to illustrate Michigan isn't either. And I initially tried to spare you the 93rd Forbes ranking but I provided it as rebuttal to the UK rankings you unearthed.
And you still failed.
Guys, Buck fan here. I don't think there is any doubt about Michigan's academics. #2 in Big 10 next to Northwestern. Then followed by Wisky, PSU and then OSU. The Big 10 and Pac 10 are the 2 most prestigious Academic conferences in the BCS.
Well I didn't think you were gonna bust out college rankings from the UK. And what do the Ukranians know about college rankings anyhow? And, to boot, I thought the "Reputation Ranking" was from a dating website.

No Purdue? Engineers all across America would beg to differ.
Wisconsin??? Have you ever been to Madison? I'd rank PSU and OSU over that hole everyday.
I am a Buckeye...proof there is a God in Heaven who loves me.
Academically, Wisky is pretty solid.
