Not a bad list but I absolutely love DeVeon Smith and he would be top 3 for me.
There is a clear top two of Marshall and Thomas and imo Gedeon is the 3rd best player in state. Cam Burrows is borderline top ten imo.
I wasn't sure where to put him. I'm not sure if it would be too homerish of me to put him top 3.
On second thought though, he's way too low on my list. I should have put him at 5 behind Marshall, Thomas, Burows, and Conley. JMO
I like Conley's game a lot and am not going to hate on Burrows but I wouldn't put either above Smith. But like you said that's just my opinion as well. I have loved Smith the whole time. I wanted him more than Ty Isaac from the get go so that should tell you what i think of Smith's game.
Not disagreeing with any of your arguments. But let me pose this question...how would you guys all rank them? I can tell you that Biddle watching two games of a couple of those recruits is more than the zero that I watched. So therefore, I would take his review of them over mine. You guys seem to have watched each and every one of their entire seasons since the entire list is biased and a hoax. So....instead of claiming its biased simply because it is top heavy with tOSU recruits (which I also was surprised by, admittedly), give your actual list and opinion. Without your opinions it seems like a bunch of boo hoo with no substance.
I'll just give you my top 5. Other than that my biggest complaint is how far Taco, Ben Gedeon and McCray fell.
1) Jalin Marshall
2) Dymonte Thomas
3) DeVeon Smith
4) Gareon Conley
5) Cam Burrows
I gave a list And I have watched film of all the OSU and UM commits. Haven't seen all their games obviously, but I feel like i know enough to give my opinion on the top 10, which I listed earlier in this thread. Although I want to move Smith up after further consideration:
1. Jalin Marshall
2. Dymonte Thomas
3. Cameron Burrows
4. Gareon Conley
5. Deveon Smith
6. Mitch Trubisky
7. Billy Price
8. Taco Charlton
9. Evan Lisle
10. Ben Gedeon
That list looks pretty decent, thomas has an edge on burrows because burrows grew, i'd flip 5 and 6 though. btw to those in the thread, the list was created by bill and mark, I dont believe Steve (who claimed to watch two games on tv) was involved as per his comments in the thread.
I'd have to imagine the people who vote on player of the year watch a lot of the games. McCray and deveon smith both won that and are ridiculously underrated
