Has Ohio State played anyone that's worth even talking about? They should not be ranked as high as they are.
My bet with devidee still stands...
Well he's smarter than most national pundits, that's for sure
He offered to stop posting already on tBB.
I could not agree more.
Off topic but I miss the pre BCS era when SOS mattered and there were powerhouses playing every week. Outside of the Championship game the BCS has made a mockery of the rankings for the first 3/4 of each season.
I already went off on Brian Bennett for putting them head above shoulders better then everyone else in the big ten. It's rediculous. They have looked bad a few games this year against no one! All of a sudden the beat a completely unproven Nebraska team and they are alabamas equal? Whatever, the harder they will fall back to reality.
Bah, he tried to weasel out like a little...well, weasel. No backing out! See your bets to the bitter end!
Sadly, the B1G is so terrible he can say the same thing if they go 12-0. Haha
I honestly think Purdue could beat them if Purdue comes to play. OSU's D is sorry and has a chance to be diced up by the quick passing game.
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
Regardless of how strong (or how weak) Ohio's schedule is in retrospect, Ohio has beaten the teams it should have.
We can't say the same. And yes, we should have beaten Notre Dame rankings be damned.

I love this kid. Him and Jarrod Wilson will be lethal together
So all of you clowns don't think Mich St and Nebraska are solid teams? I bet you think ND is going to win the NCG as well right? You guys are a joke and just keep making excuses and we will see you on the 24th!
No, but I do think you're a clown...

Exactly. But it will accrue to our benefit. It is similar to all the love Sparty is getting. Many "experts" still show them making the Rose Bowl. Are you kidding me? Have they even watched any games? We will beat Sparty in AA and beat OSU in Columbus. When we do, and when the only two games we've lost are to #1 Alabama and a ND team we gave away a close game to on the road, we will be the ones benefiting in the end from all the Urbie/OSU hype.

Have you seen MSU play this year. Their offense is horrible. I mean horrible. MSU was fortunate to beat Eastern Michigan and Indiana. Yeah those teams. So don't go telling me MSU is a solid team. Nebraska is ok but they can't play a lick of defense.
You guys just throttled Purdue but you think Purdue can beat us in our house?! Cmon
You must not be to smart......
I dont understand this. How can you label tOSU and UFM as just "hype". They have had the best recruiting classes, and will again this February mind you, for the past FOREVER in the B1G and added a Hall of Fame #1 or #2 coach in all of College Football. I dont see how tOSU paired with him isnt going to work out very nicely in this whack conference of ours
Theyve beaten everybody, 2 ranked, despite a plethora of injuries and are getting better each week. Where should they be ranked?
*too* supposed smart guy. What's wrong with my logic? Are you guys that superior to tOSU? Now that would be

The problem with early polls is they are driven totally by W-L record with no regard for who each team has played. Wait until the end of the season. I guarantee you half the teams in the top 25 won't even still be there.
Specifically on OSU, you've looked very good on offense but terrible on defense. Nebraska just put up 38 points on you in the Shoe despite turning the ball over four times. And everyone is acting like it was some great OSU performance. You should be embarrassed. Where do I think you should be ranked? I have no idea. But as long as your defense continues to play as poorly as it has, teams with both a good offense and a good defense will have no problem beating you.
Sad fact is this, they are pulling a Boise State schedule.. By this I am saying playing shit, and then scheduling a few teams that are "supposed to be good"
The MSU game Missed Field goal....
Nebraska Game...Well they are not as great as everyone though they would be. But good game on the O-side of the ball.
The rest of the Schedule is sorry...
Of course an undefeated record they have, so they are ranked prolly how they should be. I guess!!!
They've looked good on offense in one game against a defense that gave up 36 points to UCLA. They've squeaked by in the rest of them. What happens when they play a team that can stop the run without losing Devin Smith in coverage and has an offense that features more than Le'Veon Bell? We're excited to play them in a few weeks. We're expecting to win a fun, close game and I'd expect them to drop a couple more that they shouldn't before they play UM.
I would love it if you bumped them off. You have the D, but I'm not sure yet about the O (which was Sparty's problem). Even against a good D, Braxton Miller is going to get his yards and OSU is going to score. But a good D should be able to limit OSU to a reasonable number of points (i.e. low to mid 20s). And then you need an offense that can score more points than that on them. Fortunately, their defense is mediocre (about the same as NW's or UNL's). If you can score high 30s, I think you have a good chance.
I don't know who the "we" is, but I'm not expecting a win. I think we have a shot, but I don't think we'll win at this point.
It's tough to expect anything in the conference this year. Every team has glaring flaws that no one should have any expectations beyond beating Illinois.
