And we will still be very talented.
Yes and No. The NCAA deadline is next week. The NBA deadline is near the end of the month (the 28th, I believe). But it's not as if the NCAA rule has any teeth. It's kind of dumb that they even have a deadline.
Thanks for the memories, Burke and Hardaway. I'll really miss watching you guys next year.
Man you guys shouldnt be worried about guys leaving yet, Michigan is in the Final 4 guys. After Monday then start to wondering about next years team. Just enjoy the ride while it lasts
Now it sounds like neither one has made a decision. Both Burke's mom and Hardaway's dad said no decision has been made yet (whether that is true or not who knows).
They wouldn't confirm or deny either way at this point. I'm sure both's families/camps are exploring though. This is probably where this whole thing started. From the way the guy originally reported this, it sounds like he has some friends in the agent buisness (not a surprise considering he specializes in the buisness of sports), and probably heard that the Burke/Hardaway camps were speaking to agents. And, again, this obviously will happen. Doesn't mean either is committed to going though. Although I think we can all agree that Burke is gone, and really should go as well.
Exactly how I feel about it.
Couldn't agree more.
This story has been rejected by Burke and Hardaway's parents. No decision has been made by either player at this point and I wouldn't expect to hear anything solid until after the NCAA Tournament. However, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if either/both of these guys jumped to the NBA.
Also, I would expect Hardaway's spot to be filled by Caris LeVert, which is a good sign for Michigan. Zak Irvin will get on the court for sure, but I don't think he will be the one with the main duty of replacing Hardaway, at least not early in the season.

I love LeVert's defense and energy, but he needs to improve his shooting (badly) if he is going to be a major contributor next year. It may just be inexperience and / or nerves, but he needs to be able to hit the wide open shots that he has been missing all year.
I won't be surprised by both leaving, but with the families questioning, I really wonder if they had the serious sit down talk yet...especially Hardaway, who has no financial reason to jump early.
Actually I think he does have financial reasons to leave. His dad didn't exactly manage his earnings very well.
Hardaway Sr. is taken care of by the Miami Heat. I don't know to what extent but he has some level of protection.
* * * N E O . R E T R O * * *
i knew that this couldnt have been said by Burke because of the article i just read like yesterday lol but it does kinda sound like that source got it from agents or something but does them talking to agents exactly mean they are forsure leaving?
As long as no one but THJ and Trey leave we will be okay. Still think THJ is a 2nd round pick
They bought his house that had a lien on it. They saved him from his IRS debt, but he's definitely not "taken care of"
Now he might still have bunch of money, and is just a dummy and didn't pay taxes for years, but with the rate that NBA players go broke, I'm not sure about that.
LeVert definitely has a long way to go before he can get to Hardaway's level, but I don't think his shooting has been that bad this season. The problem with his recent numbers has been his limited minutes. It's hard to do too much if you only play 3 minutes a game. This may sound weird, but if you only attempt 1 shot and miss it, that may be your only opportunity in the game if you're playing those kind of minutes. When he plays extended time, he usually does better. No way is he on Hardaway's level offensively, but it's not too bad in my opinion. I do agree he will have to work on this though.
Uh...those are classic textbook examples of being "taken care of."
That is a good point though that he has only been playing a few minutes the last couple games. I do think he is an underrated player though and could be a good one on this team for the next few seasons.
Yup yup!-ima throw this out here. anyone think the horrible crazy injury to Ware - might have some kids thinkin about tryin to get thier money instead of waitin until they're actually ready for the NBA? It would cross my mind for sure!
Absolutely. The great thing about LeVert is his versatility. He can play anywhere from the 1-3 and can do a ton of things on the floor on offense and defense. My early prediction is that he starts at the beginning of next season (if Hardaway goes pro), but will eventually do most of his damage off the bench. I think he's better suited as a bench player. Not because I don't think he's a good player, but because Beilein can use him in so many ways there. Either way, he will be getting a lot of minutes if Hardaway goes to the NBA.
That is one example.
They bailed him out from 120K in IRS debt. You're acting as if they would do it again. They aren't paying the guy a salary.
I couldn't agree more.
Actually, they are. He's a scout for them.
