Bummer if true.

That's a shame. Not entirely a surprise, but it's a shame.
Definitely isn't helping his draft stock right now.
I thought he was goin to shoot Florida back into that game for a while.
But in reality, we replace him with Zak Irvin - Indiana's Mr. Basketball!
The only thing that would give us serious trouble is if Hardaway and Robinson both left.
Outside of that, we replace the positions that we lose with top 50 kids. Now it remains to be seen what they can do in college, but the future looks bright.
Actually, we should be thrilled for him. He has done great things for UM over three seasons and has had a breakout year. Last year at this time, it wasn't clear he would even get drafted. If he ends up going in the first round, great for him. And thanks for everything. We have plenty of talent coming in to take it from here (and ditto for Trey Burke).

I actually thought he might come back since he would more than likely end up being "the guy" for Michigan next season.
Happy for him, bummed for the team, and myself. Part of my fandom = being selfish.
Hopefully these guys are focused on beating Syracuse rather than if they are staying or leaving or there draft status.
Nothing Gold Can Stay (1923)
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay.

I wonder who the source is? Whoever it is , is a major douchebag. Kids are trying to win the Final Four, and they go and leak this crap.
Just wish him and Trey would stay one more year and firmly put UM hoops at the top, hopefully next year we are still are a top 10-15 team without them.
If GRIII leaves, we're in trouble.
I just don't see his draft stock improving by waiting another year. I don't see him making a significant jump in his ability during the offseason, and thereby turning into an early first round pick. I think it's smart for him to go at this time.
Won't be mad at Hardaway.... the timing of this though is nothing more than a distraction.
Huh? It's the kids who are letting it be known if they are leaving or not... So did you say the McGary "leak" was a douche, because he's coming back? I doubt it. Btw, I don't consider any of this news "leaked". It sounds like you do, and that maybe why I'm on the other side of the fence..
Same source said Burke leaving too.
This. Good for them.
Acually, I don't know that. Just that this Darren Heitner guy had a very similar tweet regarding Trey.
Yeah, Burke is gone as well. No surprise.
I disagree. I rather they say it now instead of during the team press conferences
It's not the same thing.
McGary came out and said it publicly.
This dude on twitter is claiming sources are telling him these things. Do you get it?

yeah i feel like this is not the time for everybody to be announcing what their plans are for next year but gosh damn does this suck...I dont really blame him i guess though he stayed longer than a lot of guys do. I am gunna miss him. But what is CAA??
Especially given that, by all accounts, next year's draft is projected to be considerably stronger than this year's. This just probably makes career sense - he's gotten a lot of national exposure this year, he's very likely to at least be drafted, and (god willing) he'll have achieved everything he possibly could in college.
wtf why is this stuff coming out right now??I literally just read an article yesterday or the day before that Trey was insisting he hadnt made up his mind yet and that how the Final Four goes would help him decide...this is bulls**t kinda. I mean I thought they would leave anyway, but why say it now
For Hardaway's sake, I hope he has a great Final Four.
He'll need it if he wants to be drafted in the 1st round.
And I'm not worried about Hardaway Jr. leaving. I'm looking forward to Zak Irvin who will be an excellent replacement.
