Fútbol at the Big House sells out ... in one day

  • NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Relevent Sports, a division of RSE Ventures announced today (Thursday, April 10) that the Guinness International Champions Cup match between Real Madrid CF and Manchester United at Michigan Stadium has sold out on the first day of the general on sale. Aug. 2 will see the Big House have more than 100,000 fans for the highly anticipated contest.

    The match is part of the Guinness International Champions Cup, a tournament featuring eight of the world's best and most recognizable soccer clubs: Real Madrid CF, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool FC, AS Roma, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Olympiacos.

    The game at Michigan Stadium is expected to break the previous United States single-game soccer attendance record of 101,799 set at the Rose Bowl during the 1984 Olympic gold medal match between France and Brazil.
