I think he was talking abt bars
You should be terrified.
Out of curiosity, why does it frighten you? Is it worry that your kids might be exposed to/get involved with drugs?
I'm old school and very anti-drugs. Nothing good has ever come from drug use.
I realize it's somewhat hypocritical since I enjoy a few drinks every so often, but as I said, I'm old school. And yes, I fear for my kids and future grand kids.
It's better that they are educated on the negatives and stuff than to be clueless, which may lead to them trying it.
They are plenty warned about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

Except for every bit of good music in the 60s and 70s.
But seriously, I can understand your point of view - drugs and addiction are scary things. One more follow-up - do you differentiate between weed and harder drugs like cocaine, heroin, etc.?
He didn't die from drug use, did he?
Nope. I'm guessing Jobs stopped tripping acid after he accumulated his first billion.
No matter the case, there's no disputing that Apple is a direct result of hallucinogenics.
As I said, I'm old school and just don't have any tolerance for drugs, be it weed or something harsher. I could give you all my reasons but I sense I'm in the vast minority and fear I'll stir the pot.
Nah, no worries. I'm not going to ask you for your reasons, I respect your opinions. I think there might be a little stir, but I trust that it's highly unlikely that people on this board would jump all over you or anything. Thanks for answering!
Guess he doesn't like any music ever made either lol
Also, Marijuana shouldn't be classified as a drug in the same context as heroin, meth, coke, etc.
And there's such a major difference between someone who can maintain their use to recreational as opposed to those who are habitual users. I'm not trying to tell you how to raise your kids, but teaching them discipline and self control is more important than drilling into them that drugs are bad. Ive found that the kids whose parents over stressed never trying anything were the ones who led their parents to believe that was true while actually being the hardest users.
I swear I didn't read this before posting what I said lol but good thinking man
My son's a freshman up at Michigan and my daughter is a junior in HS. I also coach high school football. I know that weed isn't vilified by this generation as it is in my generation and before. Kids smoke in the same vain that we used to drink. At my high school and neighborhood, the ones that smoked were the ones that likely weren't going to college and were known to use other things like speed, mescaline, and coke. Now, my son tells me about kids that smoke in their dorm room.
My opinions are based on the input I had from when I grew up.
Weed isn't all that bad depends on who is smoking it. Some people can't handle it and move to harder drug or let weed take over their life. Same for drinking
Nice - I'm an alum of Cornell (and Michigan) and I absolutely loved my time on the Hill. That's a beautiful picture of the clocktower.
No way, you went to Cornell too? When did you graduate?
Cornell - 2007
Michigan law - 2010 (but grew up a Michigan fan - 4th generation at the university)
You went to Cornell as well CMXI?
