It might actually be better if State beats Indiana tonight.
State's remaining games are : #1 Indiana, @ #18 Ohio, @#7 Michigan, #19 Wisconsin, and Northwestern.
Indiana's remaining games are: @ #4 State, @ Minnesota, Iowa, #18 Ohio, and @ #7 Michigan.
If Indiana wins tonight, it's likely that the Hoosiers end the conference slate with no more than 3 losses in B1G play. But if State wins tonight, then I can still see State losing 2 more games.
In essence, we have to hope that there will realistically be a 3-way tie among Indiana, Michigan, and State at 14-4 in conference play.

I'm so pissed about that damn half court shot lol.
We shouldn't even be going through all these what-ifs :-(
Convienent that Magic is announcing the game tonight. ESPN better let Jalen call the game against MSU when we play em.
I think this is sort of the norm...Didn't Jalen call one of our games earlier this year? Against Illinois maybe?
Illinois was on B1G network. It's not a big deal but I've always thought MIchigan has been slighted by ESPN for some reason
A big difference between Indiana and Michigan...no hesitation on Indiana's part. Their guys are looking to be aggressive with the rock when it comes to them. I wish guys like GRIII and McGary would be aggressive. Seems like we're always trying to get the ball back to Trey; take your shot when you get it.
When Oladipo isn't playing against Michigan, I love watching him play.

Ah I was mistaken, he called our game vs. Illinois LAST season.
Ah. Dickie V just needs to hang it up. Every week he preaches his bs rule changes and they're laughable
Pretty sure Dickie V just thought Drake Harris was playing tonight and not Gary Harris
Those refs were horrible, and the time keeper
Those refs were normal for B1G standards. Notice MSU was getting pretty much every call. Didn't feel sorry for IU because they get home cooking too but dang its so obvious sometimes. I feel like we don't get very many home calls honestly.
MSU has had time keeper problems since the 1990s.

Love it. Every. Single. Time.
Damn. Off by 1 point.
As logical as all that is I just can't get myself to ever cheer for MSU.
Now it's up to Minnesota to give Indiana its 3rd loss in conference play so that a tie for first place is still a possibility for Michigan.
And now that State lost this game at home, I hope Izzo's club suffers at least a 3 game losing streak which would essentially take the Spartans out of contention for the B1G Regular Season title.
Stupid Wisconsin loss.
I'm not even gonna worry about it. At the moment it seems unlikely enough we win out.
I think GR3 and McGary can grow into players like Oladipo. Oladipo was half the player he is today as a freshman and he just kept getting better each season.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
It's not that far fetched. We've only lost one home game in the last two years.
Agree. A lot of it is experience. As they gain more experience, they'll gain that confidence
Minnesota hanging close with OSU early.
Wojo wrote a great article on Beilein. It even addresses his perceived lack of fire.
