Playing sloppy today.
Not shooting ball real great today. Prolly get a motivating talk at half and come out win by 15+
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
You hope so, potential "trap" games like this against good midmajors show if the team has really "arrived" as a really good team.
Had a chance to put them away there early in the 2nd half but then played really sloppily and for a bit it looked just a tad out of control.
Horford and Vogrich haven't played yet.
Can't finish games, the team needs to be who they are. They are not a half-court team.
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
Yeah can't seem to put the pedal down on people
That guy from Bradley takes the slowest FTs.
Not real happy with this game, this team struggles to keep control over games against decent teams, too much bad decision-making both in shot selection and on defense. It's a learning curve to be fair, let's hope they improve on that front as the season progresses.
Team seemed off today yet they were still up 16 points with like 3 minutes left, didnt like how Beilein took GRIII out and put Vogrich in right at that time at the end of the game. Seemed like we lost all momentum at that point and allowed Bradley to make one last run and get the crowd back into it. Good game to play regardless, this team needed to play on the road.
To many turn overs especially by veteran players.
Hardaway had 5 turnovers himself. He seemed like he was forcing his drives today instead of letting it come within the offense.
Thats exactly who I was talking about. But lets get it out now and fix it so it doesnt happen any more.
I figured you were talking about Hardaway. It's the first really bad game he has had this year and hopefully the last.
Yeah, he and Burke were over penetrating too many times. Team was just off today(case in point, even though Stauskas had 20 points I didn't think he played particularly well), rebounding was the difference(Who would have thought that a year ago) that is the biggest difference between this team and any other Beilein team. People can talk about influx talent and rightfully so, but the commitment to getting on the glass is the most improved aspect of this program.

Well to be fair part of that influx of talent is more size and athleticism which most definetly helps in rebounding.
Stauskas played great today
What I did like though, is that even though Hardaway had a poor game... he wasn't mopping around like last year when he had nights like these and basically acting like a baby. Not everyday is going to be your day, sometimes your going to have off nights... and how you handle those games is what defines you as a basketball player. I saw maturity their, last year that would not have been the case.
Ehh, forced alot of shots in the first half and didn't d up all that well(though that side of the ball is a work in progress for all our freshman really). Stauskas is capable of playing much better and that is what is scary. Really love this freshman class, im hoping Levert continues to get minutes although Vogrich hasn't played particuarly bad he has not done anything to warrant minutes... I hope they continue to give levert more time and continue to faze out Vogrich as they have done lately. Nothing against the kid, he just is what he is.
To add to that he wasn't jacking up 3's or bad shots all game either. He was 1 for 2 from behind the arc today. It was just the turnovers.
Yep, and you could honestly say the same thing about the team as a whole as well. This team isn't jacking up 3's like they did in the past or taking bad shots in general, we only took I believe 15 3's tonight and very few bad shots like we had been in previous years under Beilein. I am excited too see how this team continue to progress as they continue to gel as a team.
