Sparty is STILL melting down and butthurt over this commitment. RCMB is hilarious.
Reading that board I have learned a few things.
1. MSU is the premier university in the state
2. Michigan is one of the dirtiest college football programs
3. You have to attend the school in order to be a fan
a2brutus was even over there giving them lollipops.

as are the Nutters.
What I learned: Harris had a 2hour 1-on-1 with Urban Fn Meyer the day before their Spring game. He also got a personal visit from the university's president. Harris commented that he "loved it."
He loved it so much............he got back to Michigan and committed to Hoke.
Man that's funny.
Urban at the end of his 2 hour with DHarris:
This guy at ESPN is a real homer...I dont think hes delusional like the bucknutters staff, but he sensationalizes each and every headline to the max. The peppers visit headline was ..."Peppers beyond impressed" or something like that
Drake Harris (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) wanted to be wowed by Ohio State on his unofficial visit on Friday. Judging from his texts
OT - I clicked on your link which takes me to a page that tells me the article is for Insiders only. I actually have a new subscription o ESPN the Mag. When I try to register for Insider, I'm instructed to pay. I thought the subscription got you Insiser for free? Is that untrue?
I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be a package deal.
How much do you pay for your subscription? I pay something like $14/year for Insider and the magazine comes free with that. It might be worth it to cancel your subscription and just sign up for Insider, then get the magazine free with that.
I do the same thing. ESPN insider is extremely cheap whether you do it by month or year.
Sorry, this post doesn't really have any purpose other than to keep the "Drake Harris Commits!!!" thread at the top of the board because I almost have to keep pinching myself to believe that a 5-star WR committed to us over the weekend.
Is it worth it?
Make sure all your information matches on your subscription. I had to change my username for it to work.
I have an account and I would say it's worth it. They don't produce as much info daily here, but TVH Chantel and Mike produce great articles along with video interviews which are always cool.
I would say that if the only thing you're getting Insider for is Michigan recruiting and you won't use the rest of it, then its probably not worth it. However, if you take advantage of the whole array of things offered with ESPN Insider beyond CFB recruiting, it's easily worth it and whatever extra tidbits you get from WolverineNation are just gravy.
Yeah I don't really care about the Wolverine insider (except for hanging out with Chantel) but I would read the draft stuff and other articles on ESPN.
This. I read ESPN all the damn time for all sorts of things though, so it's well worth it for me. I actually got it for regular ESPN articles first and then discovered WolverineNation, so that was just like an added bonus.
The forum UI is a disgrace, but other than that I think the articles are solid and the access to stuff in a variety of sports makes it worth it.
One thing that I really like about WolverineNation is their stickied visitors lists. TVH keeps it really well updated, its super convenient, and at least in terms of coaches visits in the upcoming evaluation period, they're wayyyyy ahead of the reporters here. That's about the only thing thats really much better than 247 though.
Oh god, don't get me started. That's like 95% of the reason I started spending more time over here way back when. It's amazing how much a well-designed forum does for you.
The design of the forum is the reason I'm here and not mgoblog.
I would add personalized UI views. Give us the ability to customize some if the UI.
I still want a native mobile App. I want push notifications to my device. So when a Harris commits I know immediately and not 7 hours later.

I feel like the mobile app has to be in development. It'd be a huuuuuge dedicated feature that nobody else has, even ESPN.
I've just fallen in love with this site. I still LOVE MGoBlog, and that's always the first site open on my browser. BUT, I rarely post there. This has become "home."
That said, I'm now verbally committed to 247.
Mgoblog is a great site. I believe most of our users here read it as well.
Brian's writing is awesome. Not a fan of the message board and don't read anything besides the front page posts, but I definitely go there a lot.
