FWIW His best friend works for me at my store and said that he plans and has planned on coming back next year. He believes Mitch will probably go after his soph season. Things do change I suppose but as of now that's what the kid who worked for me said when I asked him last night. I live in Chesterton, Indiana where Mitch grew up before he went to Brewster Academy. If he he has a couple more 25 and 14 games in the tourney though who knows. Just thought I'd share from what I've heard.
"If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?"
Thanks! I hope he stays for 3-4 years, but you can't blame him for wanting to get to the league. He's so much fun to watch and have on your team.
This is a kid that took an extra year even before he got to college. I think he is looking at the long road, and has parents that think along the same lines. Another year could do wonders for him.
We will loose him and Morgan after next year if the reports are true. Hortford and Donnal will be are big man. If Robinson comes back he's as good as gone. Best case scenario is we only loose Burke after this year.
I also think he realizes he can be a literal big man on campus next year and major factor for a likely pre-season top-10 team assuming all we only lose Burke to the draft.
I had a feeling Lewan would stay, and my gut right now says Mitch and GRIII decide to come back and make a major run for one more year and then look at the NBA. Burke should go, and the rest should band together for a hard-working offseason because they can be special again next year.
