My house is near McAllen, and those deer around there are tiny. They are the only thing in Texas that isn't bigger.
Absolutely picture perfect, imo.
That is where I plan on having you sit next year.
The mule deer in the Rio Grande valley are decent size, but the white tails are very small.
I will literally be counting the days. That's a really beautiful piece of property.
Yea, as I said in the other thread, I am blessed to have what I have.
Indeed. Plus you have kids that get to enjoy that, which is the best part, imo. I feel sorry for these people who haven't experienced that kind of living. They don't know what they're missing.
Zombie Apocalypse, I'm going to your house!
I'll bring the weapons. I got enough for all of us to live through a zombie apocalypse
We can meet up there, but we will be heading down the road to a house sitting on 400 acres, is fenced in, has 100 head of cattle, equipment to dig a moat around the house, and has several gun full of various firearms.
For sure. I grew up there playing outside day after day. I killed Russian invaders by the scores. I stopped the whole invasion myself countless times.
sounds good. if we can dig a deep enough moat, we wont need any weapons
Shouldn't be a problem, an excavator and dozer are sitting there.
I wanted to shoot my daughters dog last night. A doe was headed my way last when her dog came trotting down the lane. Second night in a row that she let him out and didn't watch him and he ends up under my tree stand. On top of that, my other daughter thought that 5:20 was a good time to jump on the gator and take the trash down to the end of the drive and then take the scenic route back to the house. I love my daughters, but there are times that I don't like them.
Holy smokes! How do they not know these things, living out in farm country? Keep the dogs and the equipment locked up until hunting is over.
My wife keeps telling me I should take our lab deer hunting with me. She doesn't get it. Women.
Im thinking Archery and Swords are the way to go. I start looking around for a 2 edged sword. Craigslist?
The 15 year old (she took the scenic route on the gator) is a work in progress. She doesn't think of the consequences before she acts.
The 17 has a good head on her shoulders. She forgot the first night, and one of the little ones let the dog out the second night.
Daddy had a family meeting to discuss this. I doubt it helped.
I just picked up a Glock 9mm "baby Glock" today from a buddy of mine. Sold it to me for a song. I'm pumped. I've been wanting to get a pistol for a long time.
Nice...how much? I just bought a glock 23 thats .40 caliber last month....paid $425
I paid less than half what you paid. . I bought it off a friend.
Thats dope....I basically bought mine brand new
I'm reading a great book by one of your native boys. Meateater by Steven Rinella. Talks a lot about hunting in Michigan. He also does a show on Sportsman channel called Meateater. Awesome show.
Heading to the woods this morning for a quick hunt before work. I haven't been out since the opener and hoping to catch one browsing for breakfast.
Kind of sounds that hunting is your fix, and your getting in a quicke before work
