Great pickup. Always nice to keep an elite talent home and away from rivals.
Cass Tech is ours.
Sweet! Welcome back DD.
Seriously. Remember when people were all like "Dawson to OSU, Finley to MSU, Hill to Iowa. The rest of the B1G is breaking Michigan's stranglehold on CT!"
Nuh-uh. We can go in to Glenville and Columbus-Marion and take kids, but nobody takes guys we want from Cass Tech.
Let's hope that continues with Webb and Weber.
Just out of curiosity, what kids have you gotten from Glenville that OSU wanted? Not starting anything and not saying the only kids from Glenville that are worth a damn are the ones that OSU takes. Glenville produces double digit D-1 kids every year there are certainly going to be kids for the taking. Maybe I took your post the wrong way, it just seemed as though you were making the point that you are really breaking into Glenville, which I think would be an overstatement. You can definitely get kids there, but OSU has the star kids locked up there much like you have Cass locked up. Again if I misinterpreted your post my bad.
No, I wasn't saying that we can go in there and take star players, but we've gotten a couple in the past few cycles (Willie Henry comes to mind). The main point is that we can take some quality players, which is more than OSU can say about CT.
My post was worded in a bit of a chest-thumping, overly-excited type of way, so no worries about the interpretation. It was ambiguous.
Frank Clark too. It isn't any better that OSU missed a couple of really talented sleepers that were so local.
Thank you, that's the other name I couldn't think of.
Vernon gholston? Just joking. Cass does seem to send you just about whoever you want and you got 2 good ones tday. Congrats to them.
Vernon Gholston also roided up in college, that's why he was so good for OSU.
We slow played Gholston, he was not out top priority. Obviously we screwed up on that one, had me scratching my head at the time.
looks like Dawson just wanted to commit along with his defensive back teammate... twice.
