Got a text from David tonight: "Talked with coach tonight asking what else I can do for an offer he said "you've done everything you need to, just need to talk it over with the coaches in the meeting next week."
He said he's expecting an offer within two weeks.
. He's by far my favorite QB prospect in this cycle. I think offering before other schools in his top group (Alabama, Arkansas, UCLA) could be huge, too.
Steve if the staff offers him ahead of the other programs what are the chances he pulls the trigger on a verbal ?
Wonderful, wonderful news. Consensus #1 Pro-Style QB.
I agree! Definitely good news.
We can't offer him early enough IMO
Which coach was he referring to? Also, this QB offer and potential commit is just as important as Shane for the 2013 cycle.
The way Cornwell is talking....he really REALLY wants a Michigan offer. I don't think its out of the realm of possibilities that he commits once he gets it or shortly after.
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
But is he like this with only the Michigan coaches or also Alabama (and one other school). He said a week ago that he still wanted to get offers from Michigan, Alabama and one other school so he can make his college decision. Then he said he was going to get aggressive and start talking to the coaches. I think Michigan is in his top 3 but I don't think he will commit on the spot. He just wants offers from the schools that he may want to go to and then decide between them.
But I do hope I'm wrong and he does commit on the spot :)
He stated he wants Alabama UCLA and Michigan offers. He has vt. He wants those four before deciding. I don't think he commits on spot. Unless we are the last team to offer of those four. Idk if Alabama will even offer him. With them taking 2qbs plus one walking on in this class. We could be waiting for a while.
He wants to decide before his senior season; he will not commit on the spot. He said he's hoping to make his choice in June.
Borges is the coach he was referring to; that's his primary recruiter.
That's an oxymoron.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
This is how I see it. He isn't looking to commit right away. He will weigh his offers and make his decision down the road.
Most message board narratives, as I like to call them, are pathetic but this one takes the cake.
Nobody on this board can define the word regression.... but it sure gets used a lot.
Well, he is my favorite QB for 2014, so I am excited.
I like him as a QB. He looks like Shane, with greater refined accuracy. He would be an excellent compliment to Morris. Offering early may help us, but he could also want to start the offer train with BCS schools - using Michigan to propel momentum.

Not saying that VT has a great shot at him ... but if Loeffler can work wonders with Logan Thomas next season after the horrid 2012 season, it could open up a lot of 2014 QBs' eyes. It's just nice that VT is starting to spread their proverbial recruiting wings.
BTW...Danny Coale caught that ball :D
"He said he's hoping to make his choice in June."
He'll (likely) be committed by the time Loeffler tries to work his magic...
