Patrick Kugler @Kugleybear57
S/O to @dansamuelson74 for committing to Michigan!! #GoBlue
Woah...that would be interesting, with Hunt there right now.
Would they accept both Cameron Hunt and Samuelson? There are 4 spots left in the class and only Reon Dawson and Derrick Green look realistic outside of Hunt.
Sounds like he beat Hunt to the punch
That is what I am wondering. Because Samuelson's announcement date was next week, right? Why pull the trigger today?
It was for Monday I believe. Regardless of whether Hunt commits or not, there is going to be some sick OL competition in the near future.
He didn't want to lose the spot to Hunt. Interesting with Hunt there today.
For those who haven't seen them, his highlights are on the link below.

I don't see why they wouldn't accept both at this point TBH. I could see Samuelson being a big mauler in a couple years, I'm pretty excited that he switched to Michigan.
I saw a rumor somewhere they would consider taking 7 OL...but I didn't put much credence in it.
Now I am wondering.
I can understand 6 OL if they expect a kid like Bosch to play, but with Lewan coming back I just don't see 7 in the class.
And Hunt was worried when the class had 5 OL, so not sure he's the kid who would opt to be the 7th commit.
Guess Dan took an OV to Michigan today, too.
I think the coaches would take Hunt if he wanted to commit. Because why would they except Samuelson commitment if you think Hunt will commit.
Yeah, that is my suspicion. No reason to let both of these guys visit at this point, otherwise. Samuelson's announce date was already pushing Hunt to a decision, so that was not of any added value here. But my guess is Hunt may pass on being #7.
That could be. But I do hope he commits. I watched him at the UA practice and the kid can play. He has real good foot work.
With Chip Kelly staying at Oregon, I think/hope Hunt will end up there.
Nobody on this board can define the word regression.... but it sure gets used a lot.
Maybe the staff really didn't see that much of a difference and let the one who wanted more take it. I guess.
That's my guess too. If they were talking to Hunt about playing OT, Samuelson is actually listed as being taller/bigger than him on every site (6-5 across the board, Hunt listed at 6-4 or 6-5), so maybe they felt both could play it?
You could be right. I am going to stick to my day job and the let the coaches do what they do best.
